I know ATLAS gets a lot of **** on here.. what about LAMPLEY?

No one really cares because Lampley isn't supposed to be an expert. He just asks obvious questions and makes obvious statements to help make the casual fan feel like they belong.

 

He's got a great job.
I'd kill to have his gig.

Kellerman easily knows the sport better than Lampley, problem is Kellerman comes off like a complete ******.

 

Yeah, hittin you're wife is def. unacceptable (although, I don't know Jim's side of the strory: was she blatantly cheating on him? etc although it would have to be something terrible and even then...) but I feel he's a great credit to the broadcast crew. He's getting older too, and he's been calling the fights since I can remember. I just hope all with HBO broadcast will still be as good in the future when the "old guard" finally has to step out of the picture.

 

I'd prefer Kellerman over Lampley or Merchant.

**** Atlas is hella funny man that guy really talks a whole lot of **** .

i tell you one thing i think he's a bunch of bull**** cuz i know some real bad dudes and they never bragg about how many people they beat up or **** . and the COld as ice Killers man those MOfo don't say **** but you know what they're about atlas is the kid on the skool yard that braggs alot but when it comes down he dissapoints. **** sound like a majority of the fighters he's trained

 

Kellerman at least has knowledge on the sport,thats what a commentator is for.. I dont really care to hear merchant or lampleys dramatic punchlines and one liners..This is fighting not poetry

Lampley's one of the most articulate and electric blow by blow analysts i've ever heard. The late Gene Hart from the Philadelphia Flyers is my other favorite.

 

I actually liked foreman better than either lampley or merchant..I prefer the insight of people who kno what the **** there talking about..If you just listen it makes perfect sense
