I dont have any hate toward Harrison, infact even though I expected better from him due to the way he was talking, I have been conditioned to expect what we got. Only thing that annoys me a little, is that he reverted back to type looking for counters on the backfoot, when his best shot was to go looking for Haye's chin, infact that was his only chance, which makes it ever more frustrating that he tried to Box on the counter. I cant blame Harrison for not being a natural fighter, if its not him, then its not in him, but I guess you could say, why should he retire to appease other people?
Perhaps I should have been more specific - Fraudley is a joke as a PRO boxer, and a GLASS-JAWED JOKE at that!:yep
This is what has bothered me the last month. Some were expecting Audley to change as a fighter. To beat Haye, you need to punch with him. Step in with the jab and throw as he throws. Time him, pre-empt him... whatever. But punch as he does and you can catch him. Audley covers up when opponents fire. That's fine when it's a light hitting guy like Rogan, but not against a world-class puncher like Haye. He will get through, he will use angles and he's smart enough to get distance when he needs it. So, if he wouldn't be positive against fighters like Coleman Barrett and Rogan, why would he against the fastest, most dangerous guy he'll ever face? He wouldn't and he didn't. I've no sympathy and felt no frustration. He's as mediocre as he always was and he fought the way I knew he would.
I don't know how anyone couldn't feel sorry for Harrison. The man is so delusional that he borders on mental illness. Haye's camp knew they could dredge up Audley and he would talk the talk and sell the **** out of the fight. Maybe Haye thought Audley would put up a better showing than he did but when Audley just froze and Haye demolished him Haye celebrated like he had done something worthy of praise; he didn't show a flicker of shame for the farce that unfolded, a farce he had promoted and sold to a gullible public. I can't blame Audley for taking the money, who could turn down that kind of payday? Blame Haye for offering him the money. Audley tried to convince himself that he had a chance but as soon as he got in the ring he completely unravelled and then got knocked the **** out. It was tragic. Audley was a broken man in his dressing room. I just hope he pays his taxes and buys some real estate with his dosh. He earned it on the promotional circuit, if not in the ring.
I dont think people expected him to do that, they were reacting to what he needs!! to do, to stand a chance of winning, now however unrealistic it might of seemed, which most people agreed it was when writing that kinda stuff, this is a Boxing forum, fans are entitled to break fights down, go over the different permutations, it doesn't mean they expect him to execute. You work for Sky dont you? Then tell me why I should not feel like your an apolgost for Sky trying to make out people should not of believed in the hype Sky themselves were feeding them? you gonna blame casual fans, not hardcore, casual fans, for having their perception coheres by Sky, thus meaning any money that was extorted out them by Sky, was their own fault, had nothing to do with what Sky said when hyping the fight? That does not sit right with me, Sky took money outta hard working peoples pockets with the way they advertised this fight, now its one thing advertising a fight, but HBO-Showtime dont shove it down your throat as much as Sky, and they showcase world class talent regularly.
I just hope he actually f*cks off for good now. How much damage has this clown done to British boxing?
I honestly don't think Audley had any intention of winning that fight and I don't think him and Haye ever fell out. This whole thing was set up. They arranged it a couple of years back with their bull**** ''sparring liberties''. If Haye really wanted to punish Harrison he wouldnt have gifted him the biggest payday of his career and a crack at the world title. Harrison agreed not to throw a punch and basically let Haye KO him. Audley most likely won a nice few bets on that fight too.
Singing "Youre **** and you know you are" was a ****ing disgarce! typical of the football crowd, disrespectfull idiots who have latched on to big figths in the last few years. ****s wouldnt have a fight in them eoither but sit and pass judgment on others.
No sympathy at all,it was the worst performance in a world title fight I have seen in my 40 years watching the sport. An absolute disgrace, wether he should of got a shot or not he could of at least tried,he cant help being useless but lack of effort is inexcuseable. No sympathy he dont deserve it and his comments afterwards make him more of A TWAT.
i only feel a bit bad as its not good form to make fun and mock the mentally ill saying that, its not nice to entertain and prolong their fantasies either...which is what sky did. barry mcguigan is the truth, everything that man said on saturday night is what the crack is. audley is delusional
Sorry for him? Get real, this is Boxing, this is what YOU wanted. All you should have known that Harrison had NO chance, and I had said the before the fight.
I always found Harrisons delusional talk funny and i dont feel sorry for him as he has made plenty of money, but when they starting singing "your **** and you know you are" i did feel a bit sorry for him and he seemed destroyed in the dressing room.
I dont feel sorry for him, he was doing what he has done for years and boxing, granted that he has done **** all in career but thats beside the point, I did not boo him and i did not join in the chant, i clapped him when he walked down but there you go. he was **** during the fight and i was expecting alot more from him. but there you go, he knew the risks, he talked the talk and now made himself look like a ****.
