According to you, Marquez won't be remembered in the future as a great fighter...

Because beating Marco Antonio Barrera in a technical war isn't worth mentioning?
Because being in two Fight-Of-The-Year bouts with Diaz and Katsidis isn't worth mentioning?
Because winning and defending titles at Featherweight and Super-Featherweight for years isn't worth mentioning?
Because reigning as Lightweight Champion as an outsized fighter in his late thirties for years isn't worth mentioning?

The people in the future must not watch or care about boxing.

he's already considered to be one of the three greatest mexican fighters of this generation, possibly the best head to head. that's nothing to scoff at. he'll be a hall of famer.

If anybody thinks marquez won't be in the hall of fame, then they are clearly ******ed or they hate him.

nooooo besides mexican fanss his name wont come up unless its manny pacquiaos period nothing else. im not talking about 10 years from now im talking about 40 years or 50 years from noww there is no reason for his name to come up when talking about boxing but his name will be brought up during documentaries when they talk about pacquiao and mayweather if he did beat one of them than yes his name would deftnly be brought up. but he didnt he hasnt beaten any one on the offical boxing record books in time people will forget and the new generations will look at boxing record and see that he lost against pacquiao 2 times even though he won twice

To add to that, I'll personally never forget the Marquez fight-back to a draw against Pacquiao, in their first encounter. If people aren't talking about how great that was in the future then I can only assume Boxing has no future.

Yep. Getting up 3 times in the first round to give the future P4P #1 a boxing lesson = ATG. Not to mention beating him twice.

    'a nobody'.

Some unbelievable clowns on this forum.

pity, ur argument would make sense if said fighters went on to big fights, fact is they never and so it constitutes a duck.

Marquez is more known for being a great lightweight and giving future hall of famer pacquiao tough even fights, but when morales and barrera started declining,it was marquez who carried the mexican torch and got better with age. When marquez beat juan diaz, that was a great moment, because many thought he was old and diaz would bull right through him and marquez showed poise and slowly picked him.
