Mayorga should have gotten a count. The bell had rung and if he somehow got up, he wouldn't have taken any more shots. Great moment for Shane but to call a fight with 1 second left and not giving Mayorga a chance to get up is crazy for a fight he was doing well in. Thoughts??

No. Mayorga lay on the canvas well after the fight was called, and there's a reason you fight a round for 3:00 and not 2:59

I don't think it matters. He wouldn't have gotten up by 10.

Mayorga was clearly done for so the ref stopped it a second before the bell rung

It was the referee's discretion to stop the fight at any point he likes. I was surprised at the way Mayorga dropped from that final punch as I expected him to easily gut it out to the end. The referee said he had enough. End of story.

I agree with you man. He should have gotten a count. Why the **** not?? There is no valid reason. Just give the guy a count.

Mayorga was done after that left struck him in the head to finish it off. His whole body trembled as he collapsed into the corner.

The fix was definately in. The ref gave it away by waving it off in a panic. This fight will be ruled a nc & I eagerly await the rematch.

Um - no. You're not the referee. You don't have a say in the matter. Case closed. Don't look for conspiracies where there aren't any.

Very true, I wasn't going to complain if the referee stopped it right there. Mayorga got up COMPLETELY dazed, not answering anything the referee is asking him, just had his hands out for the ref. His mouth was open, his eyes were completely glassy and he didn't know where the hell Mosley was!

What happened right after it within 3 SECONDS proves that he was gone anyway. When you are knocked down and have your head down the way Mayorga did there you know he's hurt and SERIOUSLY hurt.

The way he fell on his back there's no doubt he wouldn't have made it. He was done.

Yep, and you don't need to waste 10 precious seconds of a doctor's time to attend to him when the fight is clearly over.

I'm not in with the conspiracy crowd man. I'm just saying, you fight 12 rounds, have an exciting fight, the final bell rings when you go down, therefore you are not in any danger of absorbing any more punishment, you should get a count. Like, just for the matter of record.
