i know the nordic nightmare won but how did he look winning ? his fight is not up on youtube ...anybody here watch it ?
Ya he looked rusty, but his power is back. He hits so hard, that anyone can get dropped. Its difficult to say what level he is now, he needs to fight top 20 opponet later this year.
I saw him work out, he is becoming better than he was before, his punches are extremely hard. Hope he fights a top level heavyweight soon, at least top 15..................
I was sitting at ringside. He looked a little bit slower and stiffer than a few years back. But he's definitely got his power back. After the fight he said in an interview that they hit the weights a little bit too hard before this fight and that resulted in him being stiffer than usual. He still doesn't throw the jab a lot which looks like an issue to me. An active, hard jab would keep his opponents more honest. But maybe they've just decided to stick with the things he's good at which is power. Last night he didn't throw much but hurt his opponent every time he landed.
With a case such as Robert Helenius and his inactivity and injuries, more in depth study is needed to properly grasp and form an accurate opinion of what our eyes are seeing. Mortals can't do it on our own. But this is 2015. I'll check back in half a day to see if anyone has the slow motion round-by-round scores and their assessment of the slow motion tape. That's all that matters anymore.
Here is the ending of the fight from a Finnish site http://www.mtv.fi/sport/muut-lajit/nyrkkeily/artikkeli/live-robert-helenius-iskee-vaasassa/5184498
His best win to date is a controversial SD against Chisora. The guy gets more credit and attention than he deserves. He still needs to prove himself against decent opposition. Until then he's nothing better than Wach or Lucas Browne.
