Me and the other fruit are talking about that Oscar is so tough then why is he fighting little miss Pac and not Margo.so am not talking of comparing i know Oscar has more great figther's anyone know's that.
Don't blame me for taking it that far, your hate in this thread suggests otherwise. EDIT: Does he HAVE to fight Margarito?, the answer is no. There was a time when DLH HAD to fight certain opponents and proved that he's willing to do so by making them possible, right now is not the time, it's just Margarito openly begging for a pay-day Oscar doesn't approve of and for obvious reasons.
Yes, of course De La Hoya would have a chance. He's a naturally thicker guy than Margarito, roughly the same size, with a very big money punch in the left hook he would certainly be able to land. He's an excellent boxer, and very durable. If he could take Margarito's body shots he could stand a chance of doing better what we saw Cotto do, and last the distance doing it. Naturally slow Margarito is slowing down, overall, at a dramatic rate, though most people can't see it yet.
What has he done in terms of accomplishments to be considered a legit threat for the P4P#1 fighter?, better yet, where was he on the P4P rankings? It's easy to "want" someone but it's not easy to prove you're in the guy's league in terms of accomplishments.
Scar I love when you get going, but lets not go to far, reality is DLH is on his way down, Margarito is on his way up and styles make fights, Oscar has always had problems with stamina not the case with Tony, Yes DLH has a shot but its slim, at this stage its very slim if he couldnt do anything to hurt the naturally smaller Mayweather he wont hurt Tony, and you cant say De La Hoya didnt land good shots on Floyd he did. I mean **** Stevie Forbes though he lost every round he still went 12 with Oscar, So just being logical here Oscar can not afford to go past six with Tony, that is where Tony steps it up and also the same place Oscar fades.
Margarito vs DLH and EASILY, this isn't based on what I want, it's based on what the general want. Sadly the majority of boxing fans are casuals, casual fans are far more than hardcore fans and when you attract casuals easily then you guarantee a lot of money. Compare how many casuals know Margarito with how many know Pacquiao, it will be so one-sided you'll think boxing doesn't exist. This is a business as much as it's a sport and Margarito showing interest in moving to 154 for DLH rather than Santos(who beat him) or Williams at his weight should prove it to you. He recently sent a letter to Santos claiming he should move down if he wants him, was he going to say the same thing to DLH if DLH showed interest?, you know the answer to that and the reason is obviously MONEY, which is the business part of the sport and something ALL fighters aim for even more than legacy sometimes. These guys want to secure their lives and the lives of their children after them, legacy won't pay the bills.
DLH always fades and Margarito always comes on strong in the later rounds. I gotta say Margarito stops him late. If DLH was younger I would go for him.
As much as I hate the idea of this match, Hoya has the right to fight anyone he wants. I think Margo can beat him know, but if Hoya can use his jadball night and to set that left hook up, he will beat Margo easily. Also possibliy kd a couple times. Hoya never had trouble with brawlers, just boxers. ALSO 147 these days is weak compare to the 90's and 80's.
That's it you got it to bad the other fruit cake didn't all i wanted to know:hi: PS:MARGO WILL BEAT WILLIAMS IN THE REMATCH JUST WAIT AND SEE:hey
I had a few posts not long ago about my prediction on how this will go and it's pretty much identical with what you have up there. DLH will look good early in the fight but as the fight hits the 5th round that's when Margarito's punches will stand to land and land a lot, the constant pressure will put DLH in trouble a few times during the fight and will be the one backing up most of the time all the way to the 9th round TKO for Margarito with DLH not being able to handle the body shots or the countless head shots that he will have to deal with over and over. My post up there isn't referred to a certain prediction of how the fight MIGHT go but a discussion about Oscar's past achievements with someone claiming that he is scared shitless from Margarito.
We will see it again AND ME AND MANY OTHER'S BOXING FAN'S ARE WAITING IF PBF COME'S BACK AND FIGHT ONE OF THESE TOP GUY'S:yep :good
