**** roy already...weather on purpose or not Dawson is avoiding Diaconu..granted Diaconu had a hand injury for the possible first match up..however I feel Dawson is merely taking advatage of old legends....It should be noted that surely Dawson has seen Diaconus latest performance(albeit awhile ago) and knows he would'nt survive....Eric Harding put Dawson down in the first round..If you've watched the fight between Diaconu-Hoye it's understandable why Dawson would be avoiding him....I would be scared for Dawson...It's only a matter of time now as the winner of Dawson-Johnson has 120 days to fight Diaconu or the winner of the above fight is stripped by the WBC...a rare example of a sanctioning body administering justice as Diaconu is more than deserving of his shot

Do you deny that this is what's actually happening Paulie?

I think perhaps you are a little misguided. Dawson took a more lucrative offer which was his right when Diaconu pulled out of their last fight. And here's a fun fact for you. It's not Dawson's problem that Diaconu got hurt. He can move on with his career and come back to him within the alloted time. That's not called ducking.

If you want to argue that point, one of which has no merit, I will argue that Diaconu is all talk and faked his injury so as to have to not fight Dawson but still keep all the hype. :hat

I stated my point of view. I called you no names nor did I attack you in anyway. However, as per usual, you can't handle a debate where points of fact are in contention. And if you noticed, the insults just rolled in from your side. And it's the second time in conversation with you that you resorted to it. Perhaps the "childish" label is better applied elsewhere?

You said he was overrated. I said you underrate him. You then gave your input on the subject and I gave mine. Exactly what kind of response were you looking for?

    You're a bit sensitive.

Diaconu was going to fight Dawson in September 29, but he postponed with an injury. Due to complications with negotiations, the fight ended up going to the purse bids on Janurary 14, but Don King intervened stating that if a fighter is injured in a Don King fight, (Don King won the rights to the first fight) there would be a rematch 6 months later, which would of been in March. Since March is close to April, Dawson has said to hell with it I'll just fight Johnson on April 12 instead, while Diaconu fights an interim matchup on March 29. Both camps agreed and that's how it went down, Dawson and Diaconu aren't ducking each other.

Yes, he is afraid because Diaconu stopped Hoye. The same Hoye that the all powerful Clinton Woods stopped.

Did you watch the rest of that Harding-Dawson fight? Who won that BTW?

your point of view holds no water because it is filled with pointless numbers and stats (which many rjj fans hold dearly to them). rjj fought blah blah blah top contenders. wtf do you expect a guy that is regarded as p4p #1 to fight? non-contenders? You are, in your own words, misguided.

and when did i indicate i couldn't handle a debate. you were not trying to debate at all. you simply got offended when i say rjj is overrated, and you wanted to disclose the argument as quickly as possible. there was no mention or hint of controlled argument in your case, just emotional bull****. i said rjj is overrated and you said "you underrate him". LOL, and you put on some act as if you're intelligent and controlled.

p.s. it doesnt take "name-calling" to know when you're getting cranky.

Oh, I see, you would like to debate from the point of view WITHOUT facts and numbers (you'll find most sports hold those dear, since the numbers hold no bias). I would contend that your point of view holds no water since you seem to be indicating that you WOULDN'T be arguing from facts, but rather your opinion. Why does it hold dominion over anyone elses considering it is based soley on point of view and nothing else? I think misguided is again, a term better used for you. Yes, Jones is supposed to fight contenders and champion as P4P #1....and your point was? I am not the one taking credit from him. You have just stated the obvious.

Perhaps you're reading your own emotional state. You are the one showing signs of anger. To me, this is just another topic about a fighter I like on a message board. It's what I come here for.

When you say someone is overrated, I think you know you will get responses. If you are not looking for one, then perhaps a message board is not the place for you. I disclosed the argument quickly by giving a one line response much as you did, because I thought it was funny. Seems to have rubbed you the wrong way.

PS. I actually presented no numbers. I simply said he had fought too many contenders and champions for the argument that he was "picky" to hold any sway with me. You are just a bit emotional.

    aww you're cute.

it only takes a couple sentences man. numbers hold no bias? was valuev not undefeated until a couple years ago? didn't he have the greatest resume of recent heavyweights until his loss. numbers mean nothing boxrec boy.

Yes, I notice it only takes a couple of sentences to get you talking about ME and not the actual subject. Now, you have stated and actual point that we can discuss.

Valuev record was outstanding. That "number" was what it was. But the other "numbers" didn't support him being a great fighter. He had fought precious few contenders. And he won a couple close fights over average fighters. (One he didn't even when) Even his title win was disputed, one where the numbers didn't totally agree. There are more numbers involved in sports that records. There are situational ones.

Numbers are not the be all end all, nor have I contended they are. But they cannot be dismissed as "pointless". There are other factors as well, but numbers play their part there too. Jones "numbers" vastly outweigh Valuev's. Wlad Klitscho's numbers do as well. The comparison is not equal. I do agree there is more to it that numbers. But you certainly cannot dismiss them.
