I still want to hear your thoughts on the original subject. Do you rate Jones more on who he didn't fight? Or do you not feel the fighters he fought are as good as many make them out to be? Or is it both?

I always contend that Jones talent relative to his resume can make one feel a little cheated. However, his resume is better than many who argue his place in history rate it, especially now when some of those fighters went on to do well in their careers.

Hell the whole division is old. Not too many contenders that Dawson can face thats not up there in years.

Plenty of time for Dawson to meet all the legit 175 pounders out there.

Roy would give Dawson his biggest name opponent, exposure, and payday. Taking the fights a no-brainer.

Besides, Dawson has Johnson up next and Diaconu looming. If a fight with he and Jones happens in between those two no complaints here.

That would actually make a pretty nice 2008 for him if it comes off.

In all actuality Dawson-Jones probably doesnt happen.

Dawson absolutly massacres a 08 Roy Jones, and Jones has to know it as well.

Jones will look for bigger paying and less dangerous opponents than Chad Dawson.

I have just read the title and first post.

Can't be arsed reading the rest. RJJ is still fighting so why should Chad Dawson not call him out?

So why not tack more to his age, and make him an even 40, a nice round number...........good and OLD................. in order to make the entire post a bit more dramatic..................:blood

 I see the motivation for mistating his age, now....I guess. :blood

Back to orginal post...Roy said he would fight anybody in light heavy, super middle, and even go DOWN TO 156 TO FACE DELAHOYA. Why shouldnt Dawson call him out?? He beat an over-the-top Tito and now he is calling out everybody within 3 divisions? If you wanna talk hard then fight hard. IMO Dawson would be one of the toughest fights in Jones's career. Prime or not.

Jones is the mouth that said he's back.
Dawson said prove it. I'm the Champ, you ain't.

going down to 156 really takes away the weight drained excuse, now don' it.
Ir Archi Moore regullarly went from 195 down to 175, 9 hours before teh fight not 36 hours.

I'm not knocking Dawson mate..I like him..just not as much as Diaconu....however I was merely illustrating that Dawson has a suspect chin and that Diaconu would more than likely exploit this
Both are very intelligent fighters.....that being said both of course will get hit...it wont take long before Dawsons chin is crushed through the back of his head
Please bare in mind Diaconu has never touched the canvas as a pro or amateur!!!!(Thats right in over 300 amateur fights and 24 as a professional):deal Dawson is skilled yes and will present challenges for Diaconu but rest assured Diaconu will get to "Bad" Chad and when he does it wont be pretty for Dawson:-( Gotta go with the smart, powerful, boxer/puncher over the glass chinned slickster this time:good

Chad Dawson only wants recognition. Him and Roy both know that he will win but Roy will not take the fight. Roy does not want any part of the younger fighters because they would simply be too much him to handle at this point of his career. Roy wants to fight fighters that are also past thier prime but still a big name in the sport.

Dawson outclasses Diaconu and wins on points or by wide UD or late TKO. The reason why Diacono has never been knocked down is because he has never beaten a fighter that is in Dawsons league. Dawson is clearly the better polished fighter and has alot more in his arsenal. Not only could Dawson win by decision, but he can win y KO as well because of his power. This fight will be similar to the Tua/Byrd fight. Where the slicksouthpaw pure boxer totally outclassed the power house by wide UD and i see the same result here. Only Dawson may actually stop Diocanu from an accumulation of punches.

Well you make a horrible argument mate....for the following reasons....Diaconus overall experience, intelligence, and power win him the night....See Diaconu won't just put Dawson down as Harding did he'll wreck him...You want to make comparisons..I got one.. Diaconu will hand a beatdown to Dawson the same way Tszyu did Chavez....only much much worse for your hero mr dawson....We'll see....perhaps my opinion will change one way or the other after the Johnson fight...I have a feeling Diaconu may be fighting Johnson in July instead of Dawson again we shall see

Hey jism do you even know who Chad Dawson is? From this ******ed post it sure sounds like you don't.

First of all you make it sound like the Harding knockdown had Dawson hurt, Dawson was simply in an awkward position and got tagged by a jab that pushed him over, i think dummys such as yourself look at boxrec and see knockdown by harding and think it means Chad has a china chin, There is no way that knockdown should ever be mentioned because if anybodys seen that fight they'll see how insignificant it was and they'd see Dawson put on a boxing clinic on a guy that beat Tarver and gave Roy a world of trouble when they fought.

Tszyu vs Chavez comparison? How in the **** did your stupid ass come up with that? With Tszyu i guess if you downgrade his skills x100 then you might have a Diaconu but Chavez to Dawson? Again, just admit you don't even know who Dawson is and walk away quietly....
