I like Canelo and I usually side with the fighter over the promoter but ODLH did a great job

Canelo couldn't Ihave possibly asked for more advantages, a bigger public profile.
Every close decision went his way. Big fights Vs Mosley Cotto Golovkin and yes even FMJ always happened at the perfect time and stage of development for Canelo to benefit in public profile and develop as a fighter

    He has been handled PERFECTLY.

The opposite of how a Crawford(frozen out) Wilder(American HW champ since 2015 and nobody knows him) a Beterbiev(entertaining style,f KO Power but first significant fight at 35) are being promoted

Maybe Canelo developing so called god complex and decision to fight Kovalev was a a part of it too. It gonna be his downfall.

You're overlooking the most important point here as if everyone(Crawford and Wilder, as examples) had a shot to fight a mega star like Mayweather so early in their careers. It's that fight that exploded Alvarez in the public eye and he has only grown bigger since thanks to his actual in-ring abilities. It's ridiculous to blame the rest when that reality stands firm.

Clenelo the disingenuous ginger snake swans around acting like he whooped GGG's ass decisively x 2 even though he should be at the very best 1-1 against him and both the draw and his win weren't highly controversial, and yesterday he said that Kovalev's (this way past his best version) better than Beterbiev

Canelo is just bitter that DLH signed him on to DAZN. The contract with DAZN gave them control on opponent approval and Canelo is not happy about it. At the same time, he's getting paid really handsomely with that contract.

nope. the floyd fight was a success all the way around, because canelo was already a prince in boxing.
his handlers did an excellent job in continually keeping him growing as a fighter and getting him the fights, at the right stage, to allow for that growth.

Fans like fighters who consistently fight the best.

As much as I respect Crawford, Wilder, and Golovkin, they do not consistently fight the best.

I will admit that it helps Canelo being Mexican as Mexicans are the biggest PPV consumers and obviously a big boxing market, and that Oscar used the same blue print he used and that was to fight as many top fighters as possible, win or lose.

But you can't deny Canelo's mentallity and willingness to fight Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Cotto, Golovkin, Jacobs, Kovalev, and his eye pleasing style, especially against fighters who come to fight have nothing to do with his popularity.

Canelo was already a star and he got schooled. I don't think the Floyd fight did much for him. If Floyd had gotten schooled against Oscar, likewise.

lol Canelo whooped GGG 2 X. Canelo clowned GGG the first time with high level outboxing slipping punches counter punching GGG with bombs then beat him up Mexican Style in the rematch.

De La Hoya wasn't present for his fight with Floyd, he was too busy trying to recover from a coke binge. So he missed his biggest fight, then he stalled the fight with GGG with Canelo wanted and felt that he was ready for. The decision to stall GGG got him killed in the media. And overall De La Hoya is just an unlikable guy as a promoter and his smile is creepy as f**k.

Most people do not know how to score fights, but using the 10 pt. must system Canelo won the first fight 7-5, 8-4, and the second 7-5, being closer but easier to score imo.
