I like Canelo and I usually side with the fighter over the promoter but ODLH did a great job

Totally agree with the DLH description but as Arum did to him, he has done a great job with Canelo. But as history has proven ego and celebrity brings into question loyalty.

Canelo at this time has used and now surpassed DLH, just as DLH used and subsequently surpassed Arum.

Before the split Richard Schaefer handled Canelo and did a great job with him while Oscar was performing his extra cariccular activities.. After the Floyd fight(a fight Oscar bailed on due to his HABITS) Canelo was an undeniable star and Bob, Eddie, or Haymon/Schaefer could have did the same job Oscar did..

Canelo made himself a star by taking the chances even Oscar didn’t want him to such as Trout and Lara.. Oscar continues to perform those extra curricular activities while leveraging Canelo for better deals for himself.. At this point in Canelo career he wants to do what Oscar Floyd and Cotto did where he doesn’t need a major promoter to promote himself..

Yeah...the tranny junkie who announced he was entering rehab during the week of Canelo's biggest fight. Great things he's done.

Floyd absolutely schooled Canelo so bad that I had mexican friends telling me he threw the fight.
That being said, he rebuilt himself from there by putting on great performances. I like watching Canelo fight because he comes to beat the **** out of his opponent, doesnt clinch, and takes on the challengers.

He sure as hell wasn't going to sell 350k PPV buys against Angulo prior to the Mayweather fight. It's the Mayweather fight that gave him the global exposure. Getting "schooled" is can be irrelevant when it comes to star building. Vitali lost to Lewis, and brutally so, yet look how big he got after that fight. You can lose to a major star and still come out looking good.

You can lose to a major star and still make the most out of the attention the fight gave you like Alvarez is proving.

But!!! Out of those fighters you mention, Canelo lost to Mayweather, GGG 1&2, & arguably Lara & Trout.
Vegas corruption gave him gifts against GGG , Lara & Trout. He still has never won the World Middleweight Title in my book

Same with Floyd Joy after DLH, although Floyd Joy won his fight but DLH was the starting point to his true stardom.

You and Shadow's version of the 10 point must system is different to most people's though as the rest of us don't think we 'must' give Canelo 10 points at the end of every round regardless of what just happened.

I actually think Oscar is more repulsive than Canelo by quite a bit, but, if there's one thing I can't fault Oscar for, it is the top-notch handling of Canelo's career.
