I like Canelo and I usually side with the fighter over the promoter but ODLH did a great job

The level of self-deception necessary to maintain that level of delusion must be legendary. I really hope for your sake that you don't believe that drivel and are, in fact, getting paid for your pancho-villa like crusade to polish Canelo's knob.

What about what happened don't you believe? Ae you going to deny that GGG begged Canelo to fight him Mexican Style in the rematch then proceeded not to fight Mexican Style himself? And if that was some strategy from GGG to then surprise Canelo and turn himself into a pure retreating jabber, at even then how do you relate that to the criticism that GGG fans gave Canelo for fighting that way in the first fight?

I agree that DLH has handled Canelo well but at the same time you can't really say that DLH has made Canelo. I mean you can credit a promoter for so-called "making" any fighter if you really wanted to, but at the end of the day fighters make themselves by performing at a high level consistently. The way we should look at promoters is more when they hold a fighter back, then we can say a fighter got screwed because he didn't have a good promoter. DLH has simply allowed Canelo to showcase his skills in big fights. Without Canelo's skillset and consistently crowd pleasing performances DLH's guidance wouldn't have made a difference. And I noticed the OP mentioned him fighting FMJ like DLH had something to do with that. FYI DLH did not approve of Canelo fighting Mayweather on Mayweather's terms. DLH ended up in rehab during that fight week for goodness sake. To ignore that and then say he's been managed perfectly is laughable. Canelo threw himself to the wolves vs FMJ, DLH had nothing to do with that happening, that was all Canelo. The best thing DLH can do is to stay out of Canelo's way and not hold him back like other promoters can. What makes it work is because DLH knows how good Canelo is, and Canelo stays humble. But DLH hasn't handled everything perfectly, not even close. Canelo was not happy with GBP with how he was stripped of the IBF a couple of months ago. DLH stupidly and arrogantly came out and said how he wanted to make GGG wait for a 3rd fight. Canelo would never say something like that. So DLH has been far from perfect but yes overall he with the exception of the FMJ fight, hasn't generally held Canelo back at all from taking big challenges. And honestly DLH and FMJ have well documented beef, so what happened there had more to do with DLH's and FMJ's fued then how he was handling Canelo.

Are you going to deny that Golovkin outlanded him both fights and punched Canelo in the face ad lib? How do you reconcile your "retreating jabber" image with 200 thrown punches more than Canelo in the second fight? How do you reconcile giving Canelo "brownie points" for making Golovkin miss in the first fight but ignore Golovkin countering Canelo and making him miss in the second fight?

Fact is, Golovkin used lateral movement to frustrate Canelo and to lead him onto his punches, whereas Canelo ran a marathon in the first fight, a totally different thing. You've been sucking the Golden Spoon koolaid straight from Oscar's fount for too long, son. Take those Canel-O-vision glasses off for a second and see the fights as the majority of people polled saw them: 2-0 in GGG's favour.

There's a reason why Golden Spoon and Canelo went on and on about how "it could be a trilogy" between ginger and GGG, but NOW they want nothing to do with him. Jesus, Golovkin is almost 40, and clenboy is still scared of him

CLENelo is probably hooked up to a clenbuterol IV drip ahead of the Kovalev fight, LOL

    Death by rambling essay.

I didn't read it when I had a look at the length. The last sentence says I'm also shilling though which is funny as I wouldn't have cared if one fighter wins or loses as long as it's the right score.

Exactly. That fight gave him the exposure to start making serious money. Though Mayweather vs Gatti, Judah and Baldomir all made around 350k buys each.

Your typical post.... all you are crying about is what a boxer said (here's some news, ALL exaggerate what they are going to do in the ring FFS...) and of course, crying about what fans say. You and InSel ... you cry and moan more about what fans say more than anyone ever has here..

Are you seriously comparing Vitali's loss to Canelo's?

Calling Vitali's loss "brutal" is to distort what happened.

I'm not comparing, it was merely an example. I was pointing out the incidents following the fights, not the fights themselves. This might be too complicated for you so it's best to wrap things up right here. Take care.

This is quite a funny post. It starts off really well:

But, by the end, it's back to the usual:

I think Oscar did well for Canelo because he put his all into him. Maybe that is all he had. I don't know if Oscar will do as well as Arum did. Arum spread out his attention and let the eras work for him.
