Clottey is a very good fighter when he fights his fight. When he lets those hands go and is aggressive. He has a great defense. He is a very big 147 pounder who can use his size. So far his career has had 4 shining moments. Win over a Corrales who went up 2 classes and was just beatnen by Casa and Castillo. He beat Judah after Judah had already been dominated by Floyd and KO'd by Cotto.
Then he lost to Margo after winning like the 1st 4 rounds than stopped fighting. Then had Cotto cut hurt shaken and just had to put his foot on the gas and didnt. Will this tendency of reducing aggression when in command cost him the fight. Or can he do what he did in his big wins.

    Key word "when aggressive".

That makes all the difference in the world.

not only does he use his size, but he is known for using that big head. That's what caused Cotto to get the nasty gash. How will Roach react to a headbutt? How will Pac react?

If you've seen the recent photo's of Pacquiao next to Clottey... Either Pac's head has been growing or I've missed something but his noggin is even BIGGER then Joshuas

Im hoping that after last fight Clottey will just say thats it and tries to leave it out of teh judges hands. He has all the skills to do it but its like he is satisfied by barely doing enough. He doesnt want to go the extra mile which if he did he could be the top dog at 147.

It won't matter if Clottey does not break his mental lapses he let Cotto off the hook after beating him up and blinding him with a giant cut

    This.

He's a great fighter, but if he doesn't let them hands go, I don't like his chances.

Gonna be a great fight either way.:happy

A close fight on paper and will be interesting but I feel like Clottey is going to find a way to lose based on past fights.

after reading what his coach said i feel this fight was made out of desperation and so that fighting a naturally bigger man would vindicate manny on his use of peds, but at the end of the article his trainer says that they have too little time to prepare for such a fight of this magnitude that they would have needed at least 4 months to prepare..ARUM PULLING ANOTHER FAST ONE, DAMN JOSH U JUST ANOTHER MOUSE FOR THE COBRA....i predict 10 rounds to 2 for pac

He isn't much bigger than Pac at 5'8". He won't KO Pac and winning by decision will be impossible for him against Pac's style.

Even if he fights "his fight," he will be beaten.

I actually think Clottey's chin hasn't been thoroughly tested and there's a good chance it will fail against Pac.

if you're going by clottey two biggest fights. then there is only one way to predict this. a decisive decision loss to pacquiao. against cotto, and margarito, clottey did the same thing, fight in spurts. when he's agressive, he looked good, then he falls asleep and lets the opponent take control. there is no reason to think the same thing wont happen against pacquiao. clottey will make pac struggles for about 3 or 4 rds and then pac will take over and win a decison. thats the story of clottey's career.

Clottey needs to get Pacquiao to respect what he has to offer, if he doesn't Pac will have a field day.
