What odds on an Audley KO of Price then?

 

To say they KO'd him is way overstating it. So you think Lennox KO'd Vitali? And Chavez KO'd Meldrick Taylor? A KO is Hearns Duran or Lewis Rahman.

They stopped him but the truth is Price was good to go both times, and amateur fights get stopped at the drop of a hat. Stiverne didn't even floor him. Price's powers of recovery are yet to be tested. I've got a bee in my bonnet about people using the KO term so loosely :bart

 

Price is yet to be tested, we will see whether Audley will provide that test. If not then he will continue to the European title. I hope one day Price is heavyweight champion of the world, it will be impressive for our city to have a heavyweight world champion.

 

He has a suspect chin. He's just alot bigger in height and reach than all of his opponents so they cant get near it. Fury dropped him in the amateurs.

 

People are looking way too much into the Cammarelle fight as an Amateur. Some morons actually think that fight alone shows he will get stopped as a pro from any half decent shot. That's a far too simplistic view, as others have proved with the other heavyweights who were stopped in the ams.

In any case, Harrison won't be the one to really test him. He's obviously matured as a fighter since turning pro, has had some great sparring and is developing his style nicely so that his jab becomes the predominant punch in his fights. We've already seen with Wlad that using the jab effectively with advantageous physical dimensions can be a nightmare to contend with.

It's way too early to say he can reach Wladimir's level (he needs to keep stepping it up from now on) but the signs are promising thus far for him to dispel any big worries about his chin.

 

It's not as if your chin improves when you get older. We're not talkin about when he was 12. Stiverne caught him a few times and made his legs turn to jelly. He's been KO'd/stopped/dropped several times as an amateur with head gear and 10oz gloves. When he gets hit without head gear and with 8oz gloves, that will be the end of him. He's 29, if he gets KO'd it's not like he can bounce back like a younger fighter.

 

Exactly. All this 'wow Fury dropped him' stuff is misleading. So what? He went on to dominate the fight and obviously wasn't overly affected by Fury's power. Amateur stoppages/ knockdowns are not as relevant as they seem in the pros for me.

 

Did you see his first pro fight? Where he dropped his hands as his gumshield came out and was caught by a monster shot? He didn't go down then so he's already disproven your theory.

Unless the guy is a complete freak, then pretty much anyone can be taken out by the right punch

But he still got dropped, this is the topic. How hard Fury hit him, I dont know, but that was with head gear and 10 oz gloves. He comes up against a puncher that can reach him he's in trouble. If you haven't got a decent chin then your gonna lose a few.

 

Against a journeyman who was hand picked. He didn't diprove anything. When gets his by a puncher, then come back with your smart comment.

 

Have you seen it, yes or no? Because if you have, then you'll see that your 'smart comment' about him having no chin is wrong.

I don't care who it is, anyone basically gifting a free shot to a man of that weight and not going down to it, in no way has a 'glass jaw'.
