So what you're saying is that Calzaghe has bigger pulling power than Hopkins and De La Hoya put together, right?

Well that all depends on how you work out 'the numbers' I suppose but I'd suggest that Hopkins V De La Hoya was a slightly bigger fight than Calzaghes WBO defence against the great Peter Manfredo :rofl :rofl :rofl

But of course, there were 50,000 sheep shaggers in the valleys paying money on the door to watch Calzaghe right, so therefore....what, exactly? I said he was world famous in Wales, and you come up with a fight held in Wales to counter my point?

Also not everyone booed Hopkins in Vegas, just the pissed up ****s who'd gone to watch Hatton.

I won't even bother picking apart your comment about how Calzaghe has sold out ever since the Lacy fight, it was even more ******ed than the rest of your rant.

It wasn't a broken hand it was a sore back, as I recall. Calling the fight off because he was getting divorced really was a ****s trick, by the way yet the Calslappy fans all bought into the excuse

That isn't even a point though, how many American venues even hold that many people? Calzaghe is not a bigger pull than Hopkins in America, he's a bigger pull in Wales which was what I originally said :patsch

As I recall the Calzaghe v Manfredo debacle was free on Setanta or some **** like that over here, was Hopkins V DLH free in America, I seriously doubt it.

Derby County had 33,000 watch them last weekend, doesn't stop them being **** though.

Yes, and having all that knowledge to hand makes Calzaghe an even bigger coward for not facing him, doesn't it :deal Fancy pussying out to a guy that lost to Woods twice and Hopkins....

According to Jones, he didn't in any real negotiations. Calzaghe said he did on TV in the UK, just as Steve Collins came to Florida and called Jones out, but according to HBO turned down the actual offer to fight Jones.

We are going back and forth over nothing.

You guys continue your Hopkins vs Calzaghe argument. I have no horse in this race.

I picked Hopkins by SD because I think Calzaghe will pull out a very close fight, but won't get the decision because of the style he fights and the fight being in the states.

Well, he's trying to boost his confidence. I think he's wrong, in terms of experience. However, Joe C. is younger and has a great workrate, southpaw and dangerous with SKILLS.

But I BELIEVE Johnson was changing weight, which maybe was a bad idea. Don't think I'm knocking Glen, I wanted him Sat night, to silence the Dawson huggers a bit :D

I just don't think it's ducking, if you are looking for better things...I mean look how many times someone calls someone out, and they are ducking if they don't accept. Geesh, every champ back to Dempsey, is ducking then
