push towards the end....I am not sure he would have made it further, but he was fighting back. The cam on Bayless clearly showed Khan said he was ok to continue. Khan loses steam after the first round. He expects to win in 1 or 2, and a good coach should have erased all thoughts of that. You could see Khan's demeanor change towards the end of the second. I liked that 4th round.
He could barely lift up his gloves to signal he was ready. The ref was right to stop it at that time, otherwise kahn would've taken much more punishment and ended up on the canvas for the 4th time, only to not get up. Kahn never paced himself and went out all guns blazing looking for the KO to prove he could fulfill his promise before the fight. He let danny and Angel get inside his head to the point everything was too personal and didn't think about the gameplan and folllow through with instructions. Even if he did follow the plan he'd still would've come up short. Garcia has superior ring IQ, superior boxing skills and better adaptability. Kahn chose the wrong fight, should have stuck to over the hill shot fighters who's hearts are no longer in the game.
khan would have probably got caught sooner or later fighting that dumb ass fight i thought it was a matter of time but i didnt think garcia had enough power becuase khan was fighting agressive and the shots garcia landed werent bothering khan prior to that. i figured thats why khan was fighting so aggressive. if u feel a guys power and its that bad u would just instictually change your game plan so there is a prolly a reasonf or the way khan fought
He seems to come out blazing for all his fights. The stoppage was not terrible, and it did save Khan from getting some bigs shots thrown at him, but I liked the way he was fighting back. Khan's strategy was no strategy.
