"I would like it to be Pacquiao, he's the best pound for pound fighter in the world. If Pacquiao beats Oscar I will get my dream of becoming the best pound for pound fighter in the world. I failed against Floyd but a fight against Pacquiao would be at light-welterweight."

He kept going on about it before the mayweather fight and already he's trotting it out before the Pacman fight is even made.

Beating a multi-weight champion in one fight at your own best natural weight does not make you P4P best in the world.

I think the people at Golden Boy Promotions think 'pound for pound number 1' is an official title which you can ''win''...dickheads.

If Pac beats DLH Hatton should stay well away. There is no way in hell that Hatton would be able to beat Pac if Oscar couldnt

True. However Pac's style is totally unique. No amount of sparring can prepare you for his relentless style. Hattons style is easy to prepare for. Hatton would get KO'd in the 8th-ish

The reporter was an idiot for making the question exactly like that(I watched the interview)...he implied that Hatton would be p4p no 1 after beating Pac

Hatton isn't a particularly intelligent man, never has been - don't hold that against him.

Had he beaten Floyd, he would have had a very strong case for being #1, on the basis that he was already in most people's top 10.

Regardless of who wins the DLH/Pac fight, and whether Hatton beats the winner, he still won't be #1 on my list. If he beats DLH, it will be an old version nowhere near the top 10. If he beats Pac, it will be the smaller man thing.

JMM is #1 on my list anyway!

I would back Hatton to beat Pac on size alone - he isn't proven above 130 against decent opposition.

win or lose he is not a contender for P4P best in the world

if it was that easy perhaps Audley Harrison would like a pop at Pacman?

Tell that to Malignaggi. Seriously how can you say that? If he were that easy to prepare for surely a few more fighters would have beaten him than the one, best fighter of the last 10 years, who has.
