There are kids out there doing worse things than Dereck Chisora. People have been mis-behaving since the dawn of time.
A boxer is under no obligation to be a good role model, someone else's child is not their responsibility, if a parent cant bring their child up to realise derek chisora is not a suitable role model that is their own failing
Chisora - 15-3, has lost 3 of his 4 fights, his biggest win is a shot Danny Williams David Hayes best win @ heavy is a shot Ruiz The truth is, this fight is meaningless for the HW division, neither of these guys are very good. They are both very good at talking and promoting themselves, which make the brits giddy like school girls... Haye will probably run and pot-shot his way to another boring UD
I know, that's exactly why the unspeakable promoter is putting the card on. It sells. Really? That must make it ok then, no? They are not under any obligation, but they are in the media, in turn, they are majority of the time, reluctant role models. They have influence over people (as are all celebrities), especially naive children...so it is something that should not be approved or seen as the norm.
Berto is another issue alongside with Mosley, Peterson and I believe many others. This is the noble art, the sweet science of hitting and not getting hit. Actions such as you well described concerning Mike Tyson's are despicable and actions should be taken but it wasn't b'cause it was Iron, Mighty Mike, the youngest HWT Champ ever and he did serve his time in prison so people let him go ahead but the Mighty Lord doesn't let this actions pass and so it was the beginning of a downfall that tainted one of what could have been an illustrous career. Chisora's effort against Helenius and Vitali have nothing to do with it and neither your desire to see two enraged men going at each other and making it a Foreman-Lyle kinda fight... Chisora is a professional like an engineer, he is no longer an amateur like the engineer was a student of engineering so when they were, you put em back on the line for misconduct but after they became professionals, there r no excuses, they don't have second chances, they get fired... He spits, he slaps, he went against a fighter who had to break a bottle in his head in a post-fight interview. BBB of control is absolutely right on this one, otherwise we would have saloon fights with the winner going in his horse to the sunset and the loser to the morgue. I do not respect Chisora but I would respect you if you do the same with me.
I am very interested in this bout, but I know I will be not be watching boxing, it will be a fight. Sometimes we do not want a monocle wearing, "put up your dukes my good fellow" match. We want to watch two bat **** crazy guys fight.
Regrettably, I have to side with the OP. Chisora is a ****, and an average fight who gets by on his impressive heart, but he hasn't broken any of Boxing's rules. He should be in jail, but he should lose his license or be banned by any commission.
You'd get arrested for spitting in someones face or threatening someone? Where do you live, North Korea? I'm not condoning any of it but boxing is show-business, get over it!
if you do not want to see this fight you need to visit Peterson doctor for some testosterone injections.
the fiasco at the postfight press conference shouldnt compare to the potential excitement that will be generated in this fight. chisora flat out gave vitali his toughest fight in years, and it's either put up, or shut up permanently for david haye. he bombed against wlad. if he bombs againt chisora, he'll become to the heavyweight division's elite, what audley harrison is to the british domestic scene, a pretender who has talent but doesn't deliver when most necessary. other than being a genuine grudge match, this is an interesting crossroads fight, not even considering the stylistic matchup of haye, who most definitely will fight on the backfoot against the slower, more durable, and relentless dereck chisora.
:deal When was the last time we had a heavyweight fight with two guys who genuinely want to beat each other to death?
It's a stupid, tasteless bit of nonsense, but it's a fun matchup nonetheless between two abrasive personalities with a genuine grudge. I'll be watching, hoping Haye finally gets chinned for being a total knobend these last three years.
