I lost a lot of respect for Roach after last night!!! Froch-J.T, and Green!

    Totally hypocritical post. Had Roach let him continue and get KTFO you would be on here crying saying that your favorite fighter from the 90's was taking too much punishment and it should've been stopped earlier.

    I mean FFS he KO'd previous fighters in the first damn rounds. Those werent love taps he was taking. He was receiving bombs all over his body and face. Those were NOT blocked shots you biased loon. He landed cleanly shots to the ribs and head. He cut his guard with uppercuts that had his legs shaky. And anytime Gerry countered and decided to trade, JuanMa turned it up and got the better of the exchange adding further punishment and cleaner punishment than the amount of hard ass shots he was taking.

    Someone should give that man a ****in' medal after that fight. He was a ****in' warrior. My hat and heart goes out to that guy.

    But make no mistake about it. He would've been out in round 11 or 12 and you would've been here calling Roach a ***** for not stopping the fight sooner. Roach made the proper assesment of the situation and made the right call.

    Had it been like a Hatton/Malignaggi call, then I'd agree...but it was far from such.

    Roach says to Gary: "knock him out or I'm stopping the fight. You need to show me something"

    Gary goes: "ok"

    He gets battered further in several spirited exchanges. He has lost every round so far. Roach stops the fight because his fighter's health is more important than his pride.

    I agree. Freddie does not lose my respect for that. It's a tough decision with a fighter like Gerry. Still, I think better to error on the side of caution probably.

    gerry lands lots of counter right hooks on juanma but those didnt bothered juanma, gerry's punch has pop that shows juanma has a good chin but very vulnerable from counters especially right hooks, when he goes for the kill imo. we'll see about that when juanma fights a much more bigger puncher than gerry. all in all juanma did great.

    First off, Penalosa is ONE of my favorites ok lead head. Second, after seeing the replay, I as a trainer would NOT have stopped the fight at that moment. Third, it is rare that you can find blame in a trainer stopping a fight too late. You insult trainers when you say this. Fourth, how can you even say what you think someone would've said?:nut

    how does someone who doesnt punch and overly defends himself TKO a guy like Cotto? Clottey aint Margarito nor Mosley. Mosley is one of, if not THE hardest hitting WW.......
