    right but i mean....

even after the floyd fight originally ... when he fought lazcano people were saying that ricky needs to hang it up....

its funny how people change their tunes.... it doesnt matter to me.... i think he is toast and needs to just relax and enjoy retirement and i think its silly to call him out... to me its like someone right now calling out oscar after losing

the thing is by saying he is all done you take away the credit Manny deserves so if thats your agenda well it explains why we have this thread, the Lazcano performance look Jaun can ****ing fight, he is a tuff kid and Ricky comming off his first KO loss it showed that he was a bit un sure of himself but it doesnt mean he is shot.

its normal for a fighter to go through what Ricky did in that fight after comming off his first loss and by way of stoppage.

nah im not saying anything about pacman right now... no agenda their

    all im saying is that

one day people are going to say a fighter should be & needs to be retired
    then the next day
people are saying it is ok for someone to fight him (someone who hasnt even earned the right to on the same hand)

you get what im trying to say?

lazcano was a come back fight
malinaggi was #1 contender at light welter at the moment if im not mistaken

i see some people saying that juan diaz would be a comeback fight... but come back to what? ricky just needs to stay out... atleast imo

Diaz would be a good fight to show weather or not hatton should continue.

Hatton should takje this fight. It's one of the only decent names out there that he can still beat and I think he knocks out Diaz.

but im saying continue to what though?

i mean... if your participating in a competitive sport your goal is to do it until you reach the top... hatton reached the top two times and failed... if your not fighting to be the best what are you fighting for? you feel me?

like so lets say he fought and beat diaz.... what does he do after that? his opportunity is pretty much long gone in my view

Look I know your use to fighters quitting etc... some actually want to fight, some actually dont want to retire to avoid the threats out there in fact some live up to that challenge.

I know you have gotten use to seeing Floyd duck dodge and retire but not every fighter thinks that way some actually want to fight. if he passes the medical test and wants to fight then let him its his ****ing right.

But walk, man, you are making it sound like the only goal in boxing is to beat a P4P #1. Hatton had TWO cracks, and made it clear he wasn't on that level. If he's happy with the money he's made, and his career achievements, he can quit.

If he's not, there is still money left for him to make out there, and a lot of it.

I'd hate to see Hatton go the Holyfield route, but it happens in the sport all the time. And honestly, I don't think Hatton is THAT completely shot that someone like Diaz terribly embarrasses him.

i just dont see what would be the point of hatton vs diaz...

the only escape route would be calling it a retirement / going away fight....

i still think hatton is totally done and i still think hatton would beat diaz

i would see this as a bad match up for diaz, style wise. hatton would probobly be able to walk through diaz's straight shots get in close and fight his usual ricky hatton fight of clinching and smothering everything diaz trys to throw at him..........that is if ricky has any thing left, but that is a whole other discusion
