I'm in the minority BUT it would be an entertaining fight! No defense on both side it would def. be a slugfest! Let's get it ON!

This would be the perfect fight for hatton....Hatton would destroy JD quicker than what JMM did..

The logic behind their reasoning is that does he deserve to call out Hatton?

Are posters here angry with Juan Diaz for pretending that he won the Malignaggi fight? Where exactly is the animosity arising?

Apparently, amny believe that Diaz lost his last 3 fights big time, yet wants to call Hatton. Calling out someone is free, but it does not mean a ****. Would Hatton even consider a Diaz fight as a farewell fight? I doubt it. It is not marketable enough like a Khan - Hatton in Wembley stadium.

I reckon Diaz makes Hatton look like a punching bag. ya needs boxing skillz, speed, movement to beat diaz and these qties Hatton lacks..He will embarrass hatton.I think HAtton is tailor made for Diaz.

    DIAZ tKO 11 ref stoppage.

    Hatton would stop Diaz.

Malignaggi would beat Diaz again. I would like to see a rematch in neutral territory though, they Pauli would get the decision. Diaz should be ashamed of cheating.

I doubt it because hatton is basically a bigger Diaz with power and dirty tricks, probably with less offensive arsenal. Diaz is a swarmer and is not exactly a defnsive genius. He does not have power at 135, how much more at 140.

The most possible scenario is that both swarmers would swarm each other and until someone swam and the other sink (pardon my word play). And I will tell you, it won't be Hatton who will sink. Hatton has to respect your power in order to discourage him from doing his tricks, and Juan is not one of those.

hatton at this stage is not stopping anybody.....but i think he outpoints diaz by a wide margin

    118-110:D however,

paulie said in an interview today on another site that he would favor diaz to beat hatton, just because diaz would out throw hatton and get a decision....

people like to rag on hatton's boxing skills, yes they are limited, but i think he does everything better then diaz and is able to get a Wide UD....but i think diaz would have his moments....

the 2 times diaz really looked like **** was against boxer types in marquez and malignaggi....campbell was able to pick diaz off as well.......hatton is not a boxer type, so we will see....

the problem is, Diaz will be sluggish in 140lbs, and he doesn't have the power to bother hatton...

This was a page 1 post, so you may not see this... but you make a really good point. He did make a contradictory argument.

It's easy to be cynical about this move by Diaz, but you have to pick basis of that cynism. I don't blame the guy - he's show he's beatable, yet he still carries some good name value. If Ricky does want to fight on, Juan might be a good candidate - not in his comeback fight, maybe, but a good option for fight #2.
