Absoultely gutted, I got told that I was winning the first round as I had a good guard and I was hitting him and moving. Then in the corner, one of the coachs says "keep doing what you're doing".. but other coach says "you need to pressure him more and hurt him" so I thought "**** I am losing? So I started round 2 trying to out-brawl him and then I lost my footing and the ref thought I was buzzed, but really I was off-balance, got standing 8 count... did it again another standing 8 count. The guy then kept punching my gloves doing 1-2-1-2-1-2 etc but my corner threw the towel in. Absolutely gutted...
Learnt a lesson though, I am no Ricky Hatton, I better stick to my own style rather than pressure. I wanna rematch the kid who beat me but I need to train harder..

Your first fight, right? Don't worry. Use it as a learing experience, and try to make it different in your next fight. Yes, you should stick to your own style, and when you have full control of that style you might try new things. No matter how bad or how good it goes, try to always maintain your style.

Only concern might be your coaches... When they say two different things to you in the corner. Doesn't sound quite good.

i lost my first fight and got a rematch the week later and was robbed

but keep your chin up and keep training and get some more fights

in the amatuers you will lose a heap on dodgy desicions especialy if you have a pro style so dont worry although i would go nuts at my corner if they threw in the towel

    My corner feel real guilty..

I just looked at my video my friend recorded and I couldn't believe that was me... I looked real different to what I expected me to be, I was quite fast, quite energetic, I was kinda battering my opponent and I was guarding quite well.... thought I misunderstood and it wasn't me but the one getting beaten up! Wasn't into i got hit flush (turns out I wasn't off-balance), that things went down hill a little.

Sort your trainers out, you cannot be given bad advice from your corner, its not acceptable. Train harder for your next fight learn from your mistakes and you will be ok

Aw man, don't think i'll post the video.

Wow I told my corner I forgive them for throwing in the towel but man I am still real pissed off, even after 2 days. (apparently the second standing count was a slap and the judges waved that one off). This other coach told me I had a lot of potential to be a real good boxer, but I need to improve my fitness and defence first.
