So i just had my very first match and lost in the 1st round. He didn't knock me down or anything but i had him on the ropes and i started to get confident and that's where the uppercut came and busted my nose with nonstop bleed so the ref stopped it. I honestly don't even know what happened cause i forgot everything i learned in training and the pressure i felt was something i never felt before. Keep in mind i'm 17 and my opponent was 25 with already more than 5 fights but i don't want that to be an excuse. Anyways how should i handle my next fight? Cause I'm not just gonna stop here

When he threw that uppercut was it a counter punch?

Yeah pretty much and immediately after that it was a 1 2 which caused me to start bleeding from the nose
