I lost twice to the following ATG; can I still be ranked ahead?

    Some fighter's just have your number, others simply catch you at the right time. In any case is it possible for one ATG to lose to a fellow ATG not once but twice and still rank higher in the same division?

    Lets examine a few cases:

    Frazier lost twice to Foreman, is it possible to rank Joe ahead based on him cleaning out the division and having a consistency in his reign?

    What about Holyfield and Riddick Bowe?

    Tyson and Holyfield?

    Dempsey and Tunney?

    Arguello and Pryor?

    Moore and Charles @ 175?

    Discuss.


    Edit: I want to specifically exclude situations which are passing of the torch scenario's which is why I wanted 2 wins or more when both fighters are still considered relevant.

    There's no doubt Arguello is ahead of Pryor in an all time regard.

    Holyfield is above Bowe clearly in my opinion. They both have one legit win a piece in that series, I don't particularly give Bowe a lot of credit for the third fight. He deserves credit for one of the best performances of the decade in the first fight however. He simply didn't have the resume or consistency of a Holyfield to compare in terms of greatness.

    Norton beat Ali 3 times if u take out corrupt judges.

    Frazier beat Ali twice if you get rid of dodgy ref "i couldnt do anything about Ali's holding behind the head."

    Vernon Forrest was just the perfect foil for Mosley it seems, style-wise. Shane couldn't get past him as an amateur or pro.
