Also in regards to Mayweather vs Cotto. Not for nothing, but I may not care for PBF, but being a Cotto Fan or not. I can't deny the mans talent and skillz in the ring. That's why I gave my unbiased and objective opinion of the fight. Taking into account the facts about PBF career achievments and P4P ranking as the best fighter in the world. I even said "He could win easily"....What more do you want?

I supported my opinions with something of substance and with a lil bit of facts. Which is not common sometimes when discussing sports. Usually it's either swinging over to the left too much or way too the right, and never in the middle. Where you can see the whole field. That was my point of the thread. Actually backing up your statments with something called facts, and not just stating your opinion as fact. No matter how crazy and assanine they may be.

I wasn't trying to come off as Holyer then thou...Just sparking up a debate about something I was thinking about at 6 something in the morning. Damn I'm hungry.....Mongu and Queso Frito sounds good right about now.

And you still dont get it......your going on about guys picking Margo then you say that all the "facts" lean in Cotto's favor. Im not really sure what that means:huh

You cant see that you are doing the same thing, and tring to justify it by saying that you dont like Floyd but he MAY beat Cotto, he MAY beat him easy....However you end by saying You never know what is going to happen...But cant that be said about Cotto vs Margo??? You seem pretty sure that Cotto will beat Margo at the same time bit*hing about others that feel the same way about Margo...

This is an active boxing forum, you'll find A LOT of people that agree and A LOT that disagree, it's what makes it fun.

If this fight plays out as it should, Cotto will win, and there will be a lot of haters eating crow--or making excuses, or saying that Margarito was never any good to begin with.

The Hopkins/Calzaghe fight is another example. As much as I dislike Calzaghe, I knew that he would probably beat Hopkins--BHOP hasn't fought in an active style for 5 years. Even the Tarver victory was questionable; it showed, in my mind, how pathetic Tarver was in that fight, not how good BHOP was. Well, all that having been said, Calzaghe beat him in a CLOSE fight, and yes, the compubox numbers were way off, but Cal still won.

Mayweather/Cotto, a fight that may never happen, is another example. I have mixed feelings about Mayweather, and I love Cotto, but all things considered, Mayweather might win that fight, and might even win it easily. Who knows? Styles make fights and until two fighters get in the ring, you never know.

But you can AT LEAST use some evidence to support your prediction, evidence beyond "I love A and hate B". Am I the only Boxing fan out there that feels this way? :? :huh

I don't hate the fans because they truely believe Cotto will lose to Margarito, I hate them because they show disrespect for professional boxers, who risk their life for a living and our entertainment.

People who call Calzaghe a fraud on the Internet are ridiclious, as are those who call every fighter who isn't elite level a bum. It's laughable.

Off topic though: Margarito has every chance of stopping Cotto. He has shown the pressure and punch power in the past to do so, and we also know that Cotto doesn't have a solid chin. I'm a fan of Cotto, but he's been in trouble many times, and I feel Margarito is a harder puncher than Judah.

i can understand and have the same feeling as well.. i am a fan of pac but i can't stand his other ridiculous fans and their ridiculous claims..

i can also say the same with the other groupies, floyd, calzaghe, etc.
