Fundamentally it's generally a highly questionable tactic... BUT in this case it just helps level out the tremendous advantage Pacquiaos camp has in sparring partner selection. He still has the advantage in that regard if all Haymon fighters are off the table. Reason being it's near impossible for Floyd to get sparring that will prepare for the pressure and style of Pacquiao, whereas Manny has many, many options to prepare for the style he is facing.
