Good win for Johnson... But I do not see him beating any of the top fighters at 168.

    Ward
    Froch
    Bute
    Kessler
    Abraham
    Dirrel

Would be highly favored in a Johnson matchup!

A true Gladiator:yep I'am so pleased for the man as he's been shafted more times than a Vegas hooker on his travels & he still comes up with this great performence:happy

I really do hope that he wins the whole thing & gets his long overdue props for being the very epitome of what our great sport is about & thats courage/self belief/never say die/fight anyone/anywhere/anytime & honour, which is something that charlatan Mayweather lacks in abundance:deal

in all fairness to green the punch did land on the side of the head and could have hit the temple. i mean you try getting hit by johnson in the same situation. Allan green can take a punch but getting sparked out by a hook to the jaw and being sparked by a hook to the temple are too very different things. he went the distance with big punching edison miranda, and managed to survive against ward but Glencoffe Johnson has to be considered an ATG and a future hall of famer. Absolute class

I agree, I'm not taking anything away from Johnson, just making fun of some of the ******s on this site who like to call a fighter glass jawed after a KO loss. Like this one for example:

Agreed! Brave, durable, and real power in his weight class! Things that Floyd has shown he is definitely not.

Real happy for Johnson, yeah. The scorecards sound pretty dodgy too, so just as well the Road Warrior took matters into his own hands.

Love him too!! He is the ultimate fighter: willing to take on anybody, not making up excuses, classy... This guy went down in weight like it ain't no thing. Amazing!!

I like Glen, he is a warrior and a fan´s fighter but ione thing I don´t like about him, fighting abroads and when losing complaining that he got robbed when he wasn´t. That´s classless. Still, it´s his day today and he should be celebrated.

Put me down for a Glen Johnson grill. Hell, I'll take two. It should plug into a car outlet so you can stop and grill anywhere, road-warrior style.

You're probably right, there was another time in the fight when Green was dazed and had to clinch to last the round. The announcers didn't talk about it, but it seemed obvious to me. Good job Johnson !

there is no hate bro, just pointing out the obvious
just think about what boxing would be if all fighters, especially the ones who represent our sport to the casual fan, would behave like Johnson inside and outside of the ring....it would be the golden era of boxing right now

I post in another boxing forum and I see people critique him as a "boring, head butting, holding" fighter and I constantly argue with them all the time about that, telling them that Johnson is not John Ruiz and doesn't fight like him, that he comes to fight and win. Also, one person compared him to Jason Voorhees - You can kill him 14 times (or in Johnson's case, beat him 14 times), he will keep coming back.

I'm glad Glen Johnson will be getting more of the attention he deserves. I always enjoy watching him fight, he's one tough guy and at 41 yrs I'd still call him a throwback.
