Seriously, the bum has a serious case of delirium tremens... :drink

At least it was quite competative for the fist 6-7 rounds. Surely Mayweather landed the cleaner shots but hatton was the agressor...

Floyd was the better man no doubt about that.

It was pretty even in the first six or seven, but not level pegging as Lederman scored it!

After five I had it 48-47 to Mayweather, and ignoring the point deduction could have probably had it 58-57 after six - it is impossible to predict the outcome of the rounds after this because Ricky lost his rag after the deduction. But I would bet every penny I have on him seeing the final bell. Mayweather 116-112.

Anyway - what is so bad about being KO'd - one lucky punch may have won it for him (very unlikely) but that is better surely than being on the wrong end of a 118-110 UD IMO.

I think Hatton's press releases are no different to other defeated boxers. I've saud in the past that boxers need to believe they are unbeatable so when they are eventually defeated the excuses of referees, injuries, boiling down, stacking up etc etc etc all come out.

Cortez or no Cortez the fight would end in the same outcome, but I hold no bad will against Hatton for coming up with excuses. All boxers do it!

Though I agree that Hatton was schooled in that fight and would just get schooled agains, perhaps earlier knock out in a rematch, Floyd held just as much if not more in this fight.

    Mayweather was holding constantly!

I know that his trainer had told him to beware of the body shots ala Castillo, which Hatton delivers by getting in very close before stepping back and across before firing in.

Floyd would most probably win again, but there is nothing I would like to see more than Floyd laid on his back counting stars and Hatton stood over him!

    This is the truth.

I wouldn't be to harsh on Hatton because he said that though. He's worshipped so much that he probably finally believed himself in what the TV and many of his deluded fans are saying.

i think i had hatton winning 1 round when i watched it. even on the inside mayweather was comfortably winning it. was'nt even steven at all. cortez had notthing to do at all with him walking into left hooks and straights all night.

In that case what would you rate Kostya at when he fought Hatton? At worst being rated p4p #3 at the time, he was a B+, probably an A-. Hatton beats him which gives him a good case. On top of that, being an undisputed JWW champion who never even came close to loosing there further proves that.

Yea I agree with that, it was really odd to see. Floyd was holding as much if not more...:huh

Hatton was never in the fight though.

    indeed.

people, lets also remember that Floyd often takes a look early on and thus can lose some early rounds. Like against Judah for exaample.
    so what?

he was always in control of the Hatton fight and dropped 2 rounds max. That's the bottom line. Hatton is delusional as ever.
