I love how 90% of the people trashing Mora before the fight have now shut up.

Keep in mind that I'm not even a Mora fan -- I just found it amusing how he was completely written off the second the fight was announced.

If Mora had been KO'd, I can guarantee that this board would have been utterly flooded with threads of people laughing and talking about how smart they are and how crap Mora is. As it stands, everyone has been surprisingly quiet after the fight finished and the dust settled. It's not hard to see why -- half of them feel like idiots for their wild predictions and the other half are sulking.

I was real suprised with this fight, but I think it had more to do with what Forrest didn't do then what Mora did. One thing Mora does real well though is fire punches from alot of different angles.

Don't Hate on Mora. He finally step up and showed he's one of the top guys at 154. I won't hold not taking the Taylor fight against him his hold career. Congrats to Mora.

I had never seen Mora before so I didn't know much about him beyond that much of the internet boxing community seems to not think much of him, and many people really seem to hate him. I didn't really see anything that showed me why people hate him so much, as I kind of didn't mind him, and was actually somewhat intrigued by the notion of him fighting DLH, which isn't a horrible idea if you remove it from all the over the top hype which would accompany such a bout. That being said, I was more flabbergasted by Forrest's performance than impressed with Mora's.

So the Latin Fake beat a washed up Vernon Forrest. Big deal. He's gonna get KTFO as soon as he faces a top fighter in their prime, and most fans will love it the minute he hits the deck.

37-year old Forrest isn't anything special. I can't belief how some of you said that he could dominate 154 or beat Mayweather.

Who ever said mora won't make it out of the first round? Mora has a great chin, but he can't hurt someone else if his life depended on it. So that = whatever fight he is in there will never be a KO. Boring as hell to watch. He uses slick shady tactics along with speed to pull out snoozefest majority decisions. I sat ringside and watched him lose to Elvin Ayala and the judges (lucky for him) scored a draw.

And he whined about not getting a title shot forever and when Jermain Taylor offered it he turned it down because he knew he would lose. Last night he beat an aging forrest who was off a long layoff from an injury. Congrats - I will still trash talk him and won't stop until he shows us something better

If Forrest acutally trains for a rematch i think he would win easily.

I never trashed Mora, but I did make the prediction that the Viper would KO him. Credit to Sergio for proving me wrong. He should now fight Mayorga, who I predict will KO him. :yep

I understand the thread startes point but Forrest DID look like ****. You gonna try and tell me that if it was the Forrest that whipped Mosleys ass in there with Mora last night that he would have lost?

    no way.

Props to Mora for winning and capitalizing on an old, and gassed opponent. Its a great win for him, but Mora isnt anything special.
