I love Morales but how is he gonna beat Danny Garcia?

I was not impressed by Morales in Cano fight, i expect Garcia to win

 

We all thought he was done after that 2010 comeback stretch of Alfaro/Limond/Lorenzo, though! He looked like absolute shot-to-**** trash in that stretch, which reinforced theories that he was not simply weight drained but SHOT in the Pacquiao rubbermatch. FFS, I thought Lorenzo was unlucky to not get the nod on the night. :!:

Then, Maidana. That close loss is significant, and can't be ignored. It turned everything we thought we knew about Morales - everything that the mounds of evidence suggested to any reasonable mind - upside down.

Then, yes - he regressed in the first half of the Cano fight. He looked bad. Then, TA-DA! Beastly vintage Morales puts in a quick cameo appearance to take care of business.

Morales is just so wildly unpredictable at this point. His career since that night he got knocked out, looking helplessly at his father at ringside with a deflated look that seemed to say "I'm done. I can't do this anymore, ever again..." has been an absolute brain teaser. Moved up and warred with Diaz, most feeling he got screwed. Took three years off. Made a comeback attempt and looked HORRIBLE against low-level guys. Somehow got a shot at Maidana. Looked AMAZING, but lost. Then made history with a new title in a new weight division in a bout that pretty much encapsulates the entire journey - moments of looking like a shot, depleted fighter sprinkled with a bit of his old brilliance.

Morales has been looking bad overall in his comeback and still he has those glimpses of what he once was every now and then. Hoping he beats Garcia as I don't want to see a gutsy legend like him take another beating again in his career. I thought he beat Maidana BTW but just because he looked sensational in this fight doesn't mean he'll do the same against Garcia but I'm hoping he does.

 

i dont make a big deal out of the morales vs maidana fight. morales been outta his prime for a really long time hes just such a great fighter. i mean he was outta his prime before the pac fight. hes a great great fighter never shys down from a battle. thats why he is one of my favorites of all time, but i just see him takin a real beatdown when he fights garcia i hope im wrong.
