Michael Moorer was just on FNF's. Moorer said Teddy was the best trainer of his career. And now Moorer is taking up training fighters with the same type of disipline that Teddy had

Moorer has criticized Teddy in past, he can't make up mind. Teddy loves to bring on guys to ESPN who praise him. Let Tyson, LaLonde, or any of a fighters who hate him, or even managers, get interview. ESPN should make Atlas play fair. Let Dave Wolf and LaLonde get air time.

  4. great post dude.

I for one trust in Atlas. I mean more then most of the posters on various boxing sites.

    If Teddy Atlas says

Both Wladimir and Tyson are mental midgets then they are mental midgets. He knows way more then any of us. If Atlas says both Wlad and Tyson are over hyped and not at the level of ATG other guys like Lewis and Ali are at, then I trust his words too.

Teddy Atlas is just calling it like it is. I approve of what he says.

Teddy Atlas world famous champion boxing trainer
MESSAGE to the world of boxing

'Tyson and Wlad are mental ******s'

    fan boys on esb

'wah wah wah aTLAS IS A MORON hater wah wah wah'

deal with it. Atlas says Tyson and Wlad are mental morons so they are

  5. Teddy Atlas admitted

he was a moron when he picked David Tua to beat Lennox Lewis.

David Tua have ATG power and borderline ATG skills, so I can see why Atlas was so high on him.

So that was a mistake, but Atlas saying Wlad and Tyson are mental morons are 100% legit.

Decent trainer but he isn't in the same class as Dundee, Arcel, or Steward.

Yeah that is true. Teddy knows as much about boxing as anyone else on the planet. Being groomed by Cus Damato is like gettin a PHD from the most elite school there is. Cus would get out the reels of film from 1920's and other fights all through out history and show them as examples. Tyson liked watchin Dempsey.

Tyson, during that one long sit-down series during his training before one of his fights, also said Atlas wasn't a good trainer.

    It makes you think:

If a Trainer is having this much trouble, maybe its the trainer and not the student.

He hates Tyson for personal reasons. He hates Wlad for boxing reasons. Wlad has massive holes in his game and fights like a *****. But he's tall. Very, very tall

He's a guy that clearly knows a lot about the sport, gives decent commentary, and expresses a lot of care for fighters and fairness in the sport, but it's plain to see he also carries his biases and personality works that make him difficult to work with. I'm not surprised so many stories suggest he can act as if he's got a few screws loose, but I'm not sure he's an ill-intentioned man all around. He does more good than bad in the sport, I think, especially with his foundation.
