when the supposed beatdown went the other way around as in the case of pac-mab 1, pac-dlh or lacy-calzaghe or shane-margo, it would be exhilarating to fans of the underdog.

beatings can be good when a guy just dominates in a big fight like Calzaghe or Mayweather

but beatings can be boring and one sided too

Unless you hate the guy getting the beating why would anyone like a one-sided fight.
    You want a contest.

Barrera Hamed was not a one-sided beatdown. It was, however, a one-sided humbling.

It sure looked to me as though Barrera had his way throughout 90% of the fight. Even taking time out to smash Hamed into the turn buckles. :good

It was horrible. It was sad, painful, and uncomfortable to watch.
But you have to admit mayweather butchered him quite gracefully

Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley was not a one sided beat down..? he was out boxed, but beat down..? There needs to be some serious damage impacted for it to be a beat down.

Mike Tyson vs Tyrell Biggs was a beat down. Tyrell Biggs was slowly becoming more destressed throughtout the fight, physically he was beating hurt bad BAD to the body and head. Just look how stressed Tyrell Bigg is during this fight, Mike Tyson's victims always had that look of being physically and emotionally abuse in their eye's........."That probably scared more of his future oponents..? How his victims reacted in the terrordome"

Roy Jones Jr vs Richard Hall is one hell of a beatdown. How the hell Hall took so many shots from Jones is amazing.
