I made my bet: 1,000 dollars on Kessler "to win" 500 dollars

i think the only way that ward can win this is if he has a PERFECT fight and chances are he wont. i am of the opinion that the kessler fight enhances calzaghes reputation in history because of the style and quality of the fight. he made calzaghe box with almost perfection off the back foot in front of his own crowd. this is a key, as ward under the pressure to engage with kessler from the home support and his own knowledge of his fight being shown world wide. at some point between 7-10 ward will trade carelessly and be rocked heavily and either get TKO'd or go so much into his shell that he cannot be awarded the victory. its a shame that my bookie will only give me 2/5 on kessler, all of the previous is only my opinion of course

Beting 1000 dollars for winning 500 is not very much.


Apart from Ward`s very solid boxing skills, there are three points, that have to be considered.
-Ward fights in his hometown
-the controversal loss of Dirrell in Europe
-the fact, that a third loss of an American fighter would diminish the attention for this tournement in the States.
Therefore, I wouldn`t trust the judges.
If it goes to the scorecards, it`s quite likely, that Ward will get the decision,
except Kessler will dominate the fight very clearly.
Your bet is very risky, but I hope your courage will be rewarded.:good

 

I know you are going to hate me for this Stove but I just got 6/4 on Kessler. I think the shop ****ed up though.

 

I dont think it's the best bet in reality mate, im a heavy gambler myself and the fact this is in California and what happened in England In the Froch fight( I think this is a small factor as this being billed as Europe v USA )

I would rarely back a fighter who is travelling to the other guys backyard especially at them odds.

On a level playing field Kessler is the better fighter and I have predicted him to win, but 1000 at 1/2 not a chance, but I hope he wins for you, you seem like you know what your doing.


The biggest bet I won was when Scott Harrison beat Medina in the rematch in November 2003 that was like buying money I got 8/11 for that.
