It was at the Jay-z concert today in Vegas after the fight and sorry couldn't bring CAMERAS in, I came to him and said I'm a huge boxing fan and see at all the fights, then he start asking me questions about the fight. He said he agreed with the score cards and the decision. So he start asking me about David Haye and pther people he likes. So I told him Calzaghe might fight Roy. He said no, we are going to have him fight Tarver. So I told him Tarver is not the same. I said he is suppose to fight Dawson. He said no becasue he doesn't want Tarver to loose. So before he left I said is Mayweather going to fight Cotto, he said eventually it's going to happen maybe 09. So after that HE SAID WE WONT HAVE HIM FIGHT mARGO. I said why, he said Margo would beat Floyd. I then said it will be good for boxing. He said **** boxing it's about the money. Couldn't believe it

i CANT BELIEVE NO ONE RESPONDED TO THIS, BUT I GUESS Im the only one who knows. But I swear to god, when he said we won't let Floyd fight Margo because we don't want are fighter to lose that was shocking to me. Maybe Floyd management is the reason why the fight won't happen

No offense, but I find it difficult to believe that Haymon, a brilliant manager and a pretty smart guy, would shoot his mouth off to a complete stranger, and totally disrespect and possibly alienate 2 big name clients (Mayweather and Tarver) in the process. Doesn't make sense....

If it's really true, your probably best keeping it to yourself or just not put it up on a message board.

It comes across as bull ****.

But then again, if its true, at least YOU know deep down inside.

Not really sure there to be honest man, Tarver is set to fight Dawson and Calzaghe is set to fight Roy in the end. Also him claiming Floyd might fight Cotto in 2009 yet NOT Margarito sounds a bit weird considering Cotto for Floyd would be FAR more difficult than Margarito to be honest. I'm not calling you a liar, not at all but don't you think he might keep things down under considering he doesn't know you?, in the end he's a part of Mayweather's management team and working for YEARS to make Mayweather look good in public yet goes on and talks smack about him to a complete stranger?, you sure the guy is who he claimed he was?, I'm not calling you a liar at all but this is a bit hard to believe if you understand what I mean.

Also if Mayweather plans a return, as he obviously hinted there, don't you think as being a part of his management team he won't spit it out like that?, I mean not a single source has ANY news worth mentioning regarding a Maywather POSSIBLE return yet he told you of some sort of plan?, I really don't know and hope you don't take it offensively that I'm asking these questions but as a huge supporter of Mayweather I hope you understand that such questions should be expected.

It's all about management, that's well known but the situations surrounding Margarito when Floyd moved up weren't bright enough to encourage a fight. If Margarito was the undisputed champion or even the "Baldomir" that beat Judah then Mayweather ducked him as the lineal officially #1 guy then sure I'll believe it. But the words regarding Margarito were pretty much clear and logical, this is a man who has done nothing in a division he claims he's the best in when guys like Baldomir/Judah/Spinks/Mayorga/Forrest/Mosley/DLH all already unified for YEARS. So when they said that Margarito was all risk with absolute no reward at all they were right, at least if he had one major win then I'll be backing up those claims but he had NOTHING and only recently is being recognized as #1 and by the majority of people.

I understand what you are saying, but I'm just telling you the truth. He said it really simple to me Floyd would lose to Margo, but he will eventually fight Cotto. Damn that **** seems like yesterday. But remember there were talks on another site about Taver wanting Calzaghe. Then Jones jumped into it and got on Tarver.

Scar if you watch a fight with Berto, Williams, Arreloa, Taylor, or Dirrel. It's this old guy with gray hair that always with these two Winky Wright looking cats. That's exactly who it was. But like I said believe me or not. I'm a fan of boxing and I know all faces since I want to be a promoter. But also remember Haymon is the biggest music promoter in the world and this happen at a Jay-z/Mary J concert. But I swear on everything I love that what we talked about

I remember a certain article about Tarver possibly wanting Calzaghe, can't remember it well enough but I THINK I heard it. About the Mayweather case it's just very hard to digest so to speak but I'll take your word for it.

Thanks for sharing, though it's still too hard to believe considering the situation but I'll just pass on this though I'll take your word seriously. If the situation was blurry with no options at all for Mayweather to fight and he fought other guys instead of Margarito then sure I'll believe it but that wasn't the case.

Still I'll take your word for it, doesn't mean I'll 100% believe it but I trust your comment so I'll just leave it at that.

Yes I do, could be a reason why he opened up too thinking to his self "Even if he spreads it, who the hell will believe him?". But then again it's hard to believe someone would just spit out negative comments about guys he's hired by to make good business decisions yet look great in public for. Then again as I said I trust your word but will leave it at that.

I'm surprised Haymon was so forthcoming about such things seeing as he represents Mayweather. However, it is well known that Floyd's management team and advisor wouldn't let him take the Margarito fight for $7million and instead chose to face Sharmba Mitchell for half as much at that point in time.

If Margo can continue dominating the division the risk vs. reward factor might begin to look appealing to Mayweather's team. Anything is possible if the money is right in this sport.

Maybe he was a little under the influence. We all say **** we arent supposed to when we are under the influence. And it was at a concert so its not out of the question.
