Don King owns Stiverne. The last I read Don King had Stiverne tied up in court, it appears as if Don King is always taking boxers to court.................if Stiverne were to win the WBC title, then Don King will own it..............

while Arum has done everything in his power to prevent the biggest match in decades from happening, and so does with many other big fights. Most recent example is the Gamboa-Garcia match

Both are corrupt as **** but King screwed the boxers mostly

Terry norris manager joe sayatovich, was in the pay of king! He had to eventually pay terry a 7 million dollar settlement too. Did you know that thomas hauser likes that scumbag too? He even introduced his mother to him too!! What an ass this guy is, despite his qualifications!!

 

King is a scumbag, but I certainly miss the awesome PPV cards of the 90s.

He is far from the only sleazy promoter, but most promoters don't get sued time and time and time again by their fighters. At least not like King was.

 

R.I.P. Jack Newfield. Great writer.

Despite some factual errors here (mostly just years and dates), this is a great book.
