I miss Mike Tyson, he was really the only one who put myself on the edge of my seat every seconds of a fight.. He is the only one who make me laugh and cry at the same time, I still remember when he almost destroy Danny Williams I was jumping in the restaurant and Tyson took a beating a couple of rounds later and tears came out of my eyes and I knew it was the end of a special fighter... r.i.p
I think we all miss Mike, whether we hated or loved him. He brought a flare to the sport, and even when he was no longer the fighter he once was, he could still raise the eyebrows and grab the attentions of the media. There will never be another like him. Apart of me wishes he followed through with the four round exhibition world tour, unfortunately, it began and ended in Youngstown, Ohio.
I miss mike tyson too he was something great, its been too many let downs over the year with people say, this guy is gona be the next tyson and then a few fights later hes lying on his back knocked out (aka sam peters).
The heavyweights need another Tyson, not just a champ boxing fans know but the general public knows and would pay to see fights just because he is in it because he brings that level of excitement.
I cant say how much i miss Mike, i miss the old Golden Gloves Gym on Gragson st , off washington st.. in las vegas.. I miss the old team Tyson.. Giachetti, even Stacey, Steve Fitch , Anthony Pitts, Rory, Horne, Kirk Newman, Leroy Seales, Stan Allen, Nate Tubbs, Calvin Jones, Shorty, James Broad, Roger Mayweather..Hal Miller RIP.. Some great days spent at that old place... I wanna take a look at the new film he just made with Tobak.. i am curious to what mike has to adress his life as today.. Mike always made me feel sad as he prepared for his fights at GG.. He always looked like he was on his own even in a room full of people..........
The version i think would have been hardest to beat was , rather than the man who beat Mike Spinks, the Tyson who batterred Alexis Stewart in AC in front of Tennille his tiny daughter, and wife.... Mike was in a savage mood that week.. he would have killed you to get the win back then...
I would'nt be surprised if there was a 15 year old kid out there right now, 180-200 lbs of feral muscle practicing combinations in the middle of the night, preparing for the GG. Tyson is atypical in that he found the most appropriate coach with the most appropriate style, and being given tremendous support so all he has to do is box.
There are plenty of 15 year old, 180-200 lbs athletes out there. But unfortunately for boxing fans, the kids are playing linebacker or shooting guard.
Too bad he was a dumbass and ended up losing hundreds of millions of dollars. I can't say I don't miss his style though. His interviews were epic as well.
