I don´t like very long entrances (like some of the entrances of Wlad or Vitali for example, that are great but sometimes too long)......but in UFC this is totally neglected....and it´s an important aspect of the show IMO...

And nothing was like that feeling when Wand went to the Ring.....:yep Was Epic.

I thought Pride had some amazing entrances too. It's a shame that the UFC doesn't put more resources into the stageshow - but they focus on the fights so I suppose it's for the best. That's why the UFC is the number one MMA brand in the world and Pride is defunct.

It's not Pride but Dan henderson entering to Lunatic Fringe always had a certain power to it.

A bit too WWE for my liking.

PRIDE's roots were in Pro-Wrestling. Hence the great emphasis on pageantry and showmanship.

Wand should bring an actual axe on the ring walk.

Doesn't Florian enter the cage in a samurai outfit with straw hat and katana?

I agree completely , the UFC to my memory only ever really pushed the boat out once , UFC 40 , Ortiz vs Shamrock , which was just so wrong but dam i enjoyed it  , whereas PRIDE rolled out memorable entrances one after another on every show

I have to agree , the UFC needs to change its entrance procedures for main event fights , its a massive part of the show thats neglected

They also tried to do something cool for Chuck in the first Couture fight but it just came off cheesy as ****, easily the worst entrance in MMA

You won't ever see an entrance like that in the states, we fight in a cage, and The UFC does it better with FUEL TV and cards every few weeks.

My only problem with The UFC is Joe Rogan is **** during post fight interviews.

I agree that it would be cool to see better entrances, but not full-on WWE style. After all, it's a legitimate sport, not a sports-entertainment event. :bart Maybe just do something cool for the main event fighters. No need to go all-out though. Just big video screens playing specially-made training/highlight reels where the action is synched in time with the music should be enough. :good

The raised catwalk does look infinitely cooler than the standard UFC cagewalk though. I'm definately in favour of a fighter walking out alone so that everyone in the arena can clearly see him. Have him followed by his cornermen at a discreet distance.

And Diego Sanchez has by FAR the worst mean mug in all of MMA. How the **** can you look at that guy trying to look scary, and do anything except laugh? He tries WAY too hard.

My favourite entrance was BJ Penn for Hughes 2? I think? Where he had "E Ala E" which segued into "Crazy", and as "E Ala E" played and he started walking, he was openly crying with intensity. Not out of being scared, but just because he was that fired up.
