Suriyan Sor Rungvisai!!!!! The guy only makes kickass fights. Doesn't know how to take a step backwards or stop throwing. Sure, he had some early career losses, but he's still only 23.

In terms of other guys, I like Kazuto Ioka, Akira Yaegashi (his last fight last year was a great one too), Roman Gonzalez (still), Kompayak Porpramook (I've only seen a couple of his fights, but they've both been entertaining as hell). As mentioned too, Tyson Marquez had a hell of a year last year, although I still think he can be outboxed by a boxer.

FWIW, Ramon Garcia Hirales is actually a pretty good fighter. He could easily be 3-0 in his last three fights, as by all accounts the first Geles fight was a flat out hometown robbery, and most reports had him fighting pretty evenly with Nietes, who is a top 5 guy in the weight class.

Most of the fighters I was going to list have already been listed.

If you want to include bantamweight as a lower weight class, then Shinsuke Yamanaka should be mentioned. Luis Concepcion lost his fights with Tyson Marquez, but is lots of fun to watch, and never seems to be in a boring fight. Nothing wrong with being a fan of that type of fighter.

What was this all about? :nono:

I never stopped riding with El Huracán ...although seeing the date on this, I guess it wasn't long after the cash-grab Donaire loss. Certainly his low point.

Couldn't say it was from absolutely years ago.

But when he picked up his title I was excited that he might take on some of the division's top guys given his age, instead he milked the belt. Might have been that.
