I was too young to follow Julio Cesar Chavez in his early career and i want to order a customised DVD with all my favorite fights on there. One of my friends who is older recomended i get a fight with Chavez. i lost contact with him now. He said the guy he was fighting was latin i would say Mexican but in not sure maybe from South America. HE also said it was a very exciting fight and that both guys were all bloodied up and Chavez came out on top i dont know if it was by Knockout. I would appreciate some help with this since i am looking forward to ordering this DVD!! :thumbsup

Maybe Edwin Rosario, Mario Martinez, Ruben Castillo, or Sammy Fuentes?

I don't recall Chavez bleeding in these fights (I haven't watched the Martinez fight in full), maybe he did, but I know he took some lumps in them, and his opponents (especially Rosario and Fuentes) looked awful by the time the fight ended.

My guess is that it was that amazing torch bearing changing of guard fight with ex champ Ed Rosario.. I remember Richard steele stroking the brave Rosarios head when he stopped it. It defined Chavez's arrival.

I might hazard a strong guess that it was the Jaun Laporte fight, It is a great give and take fight, and some felt Laporte deserved the decision, it is well worth watching even if this is not the fight.
