i am 22 years old, and i`ve been training about year and half in student boxing club. We have sparrings and everything, nice hard training, but its still recreational type (no amateur fights), and we have only 2 trainings a week with trainer (who is really good coach). I am crazy about boxing from the first day i started just like you and with that 2 training with coach i do 4 more at home (i made double end bag with tennis balls and slip bag of baloon filled with sand in a sock ), and i do other sports (swimming, hill climbing) just to stay fit. Sometimes i feel like burned out, but just like guys said - watch some inspirational videos, matches etc.. and most important, try to forget on boxing when you are not training or watching videos go out with friends, find a girl, watch some movie, relax, today you will box again! :bbb what i wanted to say, i dont have chance of any career, i am from Croatia, amateur scene here is bad, if i want amateur fight i have to find another club which is very expensive and i have to meet new people while i already have nice friends where i am now. and if i find new club, there will be hard to find match for me because i am newcomer with 22 years. i am doing this because i love it and thats it, not puting any pressure and other things. when you do it, do it 110%, when not - RELAX, you are 7 years younger then me, you can do a lot in boxing world
First of all welcome to the forum buddy , thanks alot for the posts and the they are the things an old friend told me long ago, box, Box alot, but when your not boxing, don't think about it. If you constantly think about you'll eventually put too much pressure on yourself. That is what exactly happened. Its what i love and im going to do it cause i enjoy it not cause i feel some responsibility that im forced to be the best in the world (even though i would love that, who wouldn't). Thanks alot for the post again bro
