If you have to narrow my list down to 5 great fights to get your friend hooked then here goes:

4) Ali v Frazier 3

5) Frazier v Quarry 1

 

Generally speaking, Mayweather fights aren't action fights. Action fights are what he's looking for.

 

make sure the 1st fight you watch is calzaghe v jones. although calzaghe was way past his best, he still showcases an amazing array of skills in this one sided beat down.

 

Ray Leonard vs. Tommy Hearns I. It's stupid how good this fight is. Make sure your friend really knows who these two are before you show him the fight. Two of the greatest to ever lace them up facing off for supremacy. Ray Leonard expected box, Tommy Hearns expected to bang.
