The last time I went to the gym was the day my girlfriend went into labour...A year and a half ago,I'm 22 now and never got round to getting back on track as I work a shift of one week mon-thurs days 6 to 6 then following week mon-weds nights 6-6 I've got plenty of time in the day to hit the gym when on nights but I'd rather bum it all day on the ps3 stuffing my face with blueberry muffins. I've gained a stone as well so I'm around 14 stone at my heaviest but its not a bad thing as my old sparing partner said I hit a lot harder than before but I need to pull my finger out and get my fitness back.

So what's the best way to motivate myself?

Replace that time with boxing and you won't even notice. You'll probably even feel better.

Go to the gym to stay in shape you can be healthy to watch your baby grow up, and be a positive influence to him/her.

It depends what you want to achieve?

Your goal needs to be your motivation.
Train for a fight. That will be your best motivation.

I never did get the draw to video games... I have a ps3 in the other room and I still haven't played it double diggit times since I got it a year ago.

But yea like Amy said, toss it. You have a kid to spend time with now. That would be alot of time you could spend with him/her versus 15 year old boys on the internet. (this is a bias subject for me, my pops use to play computer games all day instead of spend time with my sister and me.)

Agreed. Even if he wasn't wanting to work out. I'd say get rid of that thing and spend time with his kid.

Get yourself to a good gym around good people, Amongst all the fighters and characters. Works for me. Where is your gym out of interest? Just noticed your Northants
