I havent fought since 2008.I had all my OPEN fights at 178,light heavyweight. In the years since I last fought I have balloned to 275 pounds.I dont mind fighting at crusier for my first few fights back, thats where I had my novice fights.Im really getting the desire to get back into shape and resume my career.I know Im not a Super Heavyweight, and really I have no business sparring until I get under 230.My stamina at this point is complete ****.Any thoughts on how i should cut the weight, excercise and nutrition wise??
**** I dunno. This is a willpower thing mostly. Count calories. Eat nothing but salad for a couple weeks, and exercise like a maniac. Drink lots of coffee because it will stimulate your metabolism in the morning and make you think you're full. Black plain coffee doesn't have any calories. Have a cheat day every once in a while, and eat something good so you're body doesn't go into "survival mode"
Maybe try tea instead? The point of it is that the caffeine keeps your metabolism burning, the liquid "fills" your stomach, and you consume 0 calories. I got down from a natural and skinny 150 to a bare bones 130 off a diet of coffee, salad, and burning about 3-4000 calories a day exercising. Took me about a week. Drank about 2 pots of coffee a day. Definitely not a healthy way to go about it, but it works.
earnie what happened? you were doing so well hitting those pro's like a young iron mike now you have put on 100 pounds :rofl, **** sake man thats a lot of weight stop trying to be like riddick bowe and just go box and train eat healthy, get in and spar now who cares what weight you are when you realise how out of shape you are it should motivate your fat ass also can you stop calling a hobbie like amateur boxing "your career", its more of a past time for you, very few amateurs can make careers out of the amateur game, a career is what you do for a living as an occupation
Be wary though, if you lost 70 pounds that quickly, you will become VERY weak, no matter how much protein you consume or how much you lift.
