Absolutely correct. What people don't realize about Vitali is that the harder you come at him, the worse it will be for you. He is a murderous counterpuncher who becomes more dangerous when he is bull rushed. Because the onrusher is less likely to see the punches coming, and that is when Vitali will really sit on his shots. Vitali was fighting to conserve his cardio. He fought exactly as he did. And as pmfan says here, Peter was done. He made a Cotto move and avoided the oncoming KO. Vitali was just starting to sit on his shots a bit more, and Sam was going to have to lunge in more. Everyone knew what was going to happen. Anybody seen any post-fight press conference interviews? I want to hear Peter's team talk about their decision to end the fight.
You gotta be kidding. The one thing that impressed me about Peter was his chin. I don't think Big Klit lacks power just that Peter has a pretty good beard. No heart. Good beard. Or maybe you're just bitter. Did you predict a Peter victory?
Vitali's punches have never been sharp, sometimes it takes a nice sharp hit to drop someone, most of Vitali's power lies in the way his punches crunch through the target. He's never been a neck snapper. If he hits directly on the temple or straight onto the chin he can KO, he doesent have the kind of punch for jawline KO or slightly off target KO on someone with a good chin. I guess what I'm trying to say in too many words is: Vitali has power but his punches lack snap.
Given that, since over the last few months, we have heard about percentages of Vitali it'd take to beat Peter........So, I am curious as to what percentage of Vitali we saw tonite, in everyone's opinion. I say, since it was as impressive of a performance as he's ever had, and given that Peter was a legit titleholder who held a title he won in decisive fashion from Oleg.....given that, and given how Vitali performed against said , I'd say he is now, even better than he was in 2004. Maybe the ongoing back problem being corrected really has made him feel better than he has in years, as he has recently said.
Klit was toying with him...he quit on his stool...Vitali was cruising.....To say his performance was poor is a dumb ass thing to say
You are a ***** **** troll and should be banned. Props to Peter for taking punches for 20 rounds from the 2 of the 3 hardest punchers in the last 30 years or so... And props to Vitali. Wow.
Well said. I can't really argue w/ur analysis except to say that Big Klit has a pretty sweet KO % , so whatever kind of power you wanna' label it, I don't think you can label it ineffective.
Are you taking about Dawson and Peter's performance? Damn, does Palik like having your head up his ass:ass :smh :fart
