Regardless of weight, you can't perform like that against another A class fighter if you're not great, end of discussion and you can disagree all you ****ing want.

Many laughed at Marquez and thought he has a death wish when he moved up to lightweight to immediately fight Casamayor then Diaz after him. The difference is, despite Casa and Diaz being great fighters, they're not Mayweather.

He wasn't overpowered or blown away in 2 rounds or 3 to say Mayweather used weight to his advantage. He out-boxed him, made him miss and out-landed him.

Cotto would be easier to beat than Baldomir and Marquez, hate on that fact all you want, deep inside you know it's the truth.

The major challenges right now(IN order):

    P.Williams
    Pacquiao
    Mosley

Cotto is going to hit the canvas very hard soon against Pacquiao moving up from 140. The guy has no defense and after we saw Mayweather can still do what he used to he would beat the living **** out of him, he would beat him so bad he would actually make his fans cry, that's how bad he would beat him and outclass him. The guy was going life and death recently with none other than Joshua "Three punches and I'm out of gas" Clottey, discussion OVER.

I don't think he would be easier to beat then he just showed against Marquez. First Cotto wouldnt be the smaller man in there with him. Marquez did not only lose on the speed category but also size. He was doomed from the beginning.

Marquez caught Mayweather a few times flush but once Mayweather felt his best punch and knew he could take em with no problem he had his way with him. Few times he was walking down Marquez. Cotto lands those punches flush and I bet Floyd's going to feel those punchs a lot more then he felt Marquez's.

I'm not saying Cotto would win, nor Mayweather. Of course we'll probably never know cause I dont think Floyd would ever fight him but I think it would be more competitve then the fight we just saw with Marquez.

Thats the problem with 90% of the posters in ESB. They have such a hatred of Floyd's Personality (As they should...Major League A$$-HOLE) that they can't or don't focus on the SKILL, TECHNIQUE, DEFENSE, TRAINING AND DISCIPLINE...or they have such a LOVE and/or ADMIRATION for their favorite fighter (especially Pac fans and Cotto fans) that they believe that their favorite fighter is UN-BEATABLE.

But thanks for giving him props...Its shows Character.

But for the record...I said this 5 years ago....THE BEST FIGHTER ON THE PLANET!!!! AND NO-ONE AT 135-147LBS WILL BEAT HIM!!

Not because of skill, or defense, or technique...BUT DISCIPLINE!!!!

How many fighters have we seen over the years go away from their gameplan, have a lapse in style or technique or tries to Brawl to show who MORE MANLY!!!

FLOYD FIGHTS THE SAME WAY IN THE 1ST ROUND AND THE 12TH ROUND.

"YOU CAN WIN WITH BRAWN, BUT YOU CAN DOMINATE WITH BRAIN"....Hurricane Carter.

power makes a big difference. Those guys (expecially Mosley and Cotto) will be able to do things Marquez could not. Pacman is also fighting at welt or near it for the 3rd time soon, so he will be stronger than Marquez was if he fights Mosley.

He did not only beat Marquez but he SHUT OUT a world champion ranked #2 p4p boxer in the world.

I'm with you man, I predicted this outcome. But Mayweather did not even have to try to do what he did. Imagine what he is capable of when it comes down to actually being challenged in the ring. It's not that Mayweather is scared of losing, he jus loves to win! Plain and simple

I will be impress, if he can do dat, to someone that matches him speed for speed, power for power. and weight for weight. Let's be real. Marquez is a great featherweight este lightweight. And at 36 he was fat and slow.Floy didn't look good against Boltimir or Judah or Hugton or Hoya etcetera. There more his weight.

congratulating yourself on almost getting it right?
floyd fans in droves picked their guy to get the ko. now having lost your bets, ya'll still can't admit any weakness in floyd.
according to ya'll and probably floyd himself, he wasn't trying to knock marquez out.
well just like you were wrong about wether he would knock marquez, you're also wrong about wether he tried to.
10th round floyd put pedal to metal.
