Barrera is working on pivoting to his left with a jab to stay on the outside of Pacs left hand.

This would serve him well because in the first fight he traded with Pac or moved straight back, two strategies for getting swiftly knocked out by Pac.

However, he better be careful as Pac has added a right hook to his game. When he pivots and dips left, he better pump that jab and return it to guard quickly. Only piston jabs for Barrera, no pawing!

Its only now that they're moving away from the left? Note that this has been PACs only weapon since he started boxing, it isnt hard to train for in theory. Why do you think Manila Ice was developed by Roach?

Yes its only now, did you not watch the first fight? Barrera had no plan for it, and probably did not anticipate it being a problem quite frankly. His tendency has always been to fight fire with fire. When that failed against Pac, his next response was to move straight back and with no angles, which of course always fails against a straight power puncher.

You dont have to believe me, but to me its clear what his strategy is. Look for him to use his jab for range and to pivot left all night. He will fight with a gameplan, similar to how he fought against Hamed.

Barrera loves to brawl, but he isnt stupid enough to do it this time, mark my words.

All I know is Pac moves too much side to side for that strategy to be effective

Try to knock Pac out!!! Bang with him and go out on a bang.

You think he'll outlast him with movements and jabs??

sure for a few rounds or so because hes MAB..

But by 8th or 9th he'll be gassed and Pac is still in high gear, then what??

Terrible strategy! Chimba you have to be kidding me, play Pacs game? You dont punch with a puncher. You use movement, stay behind the jab, and trade in oportune spots only.

Have you watched SRR against Lamotta, PBF vs Corrales, RJJ against Ruiz, Calzaghe vs Lacy, Winky vs Trinidad, any of these fights? Boxing history would be different if these fighters followed your strategy. :-(

I guess jab and hope he can sustain. I wont be surprised if this is a barnburner..I just see MAB stopping Pac as his only chance

Use Morales' strategy in their first fight. Box smartly, show your heart when needed. Take the fight to Pacman every now and then to show him your not scared. Work the body as much as possible to stop him from coming on late.
