If anything, Algeri poses a very difficult stylistic matchup due to his height, reach, and boxing ability. This is not an easy fight. What I'm hoping is that Algeri isn't a hard puncher because honestly, I don't want Pacquiao to fight anymore. The only fight I want him in against is Mayweather. But Mayweather talked all that ****, and his ***** ass keeps running. So, what's Pacquiao gonna do? Fight killers? What killers has Mayweather fought recently? Guerrero, Maidana? Both these guys would likely get beat by Algeri due to Algeri's constantly moving style. He's a young guy that can use his legs and his reach. What made Maidana vs Floyd a competitive fight is because Floyd doesn't move like he used to. I used to give Floyd the Canelo fight, but there is a strong possibility based on Mayweather's previous and future behavior, that he directly or indirectly paid Canelo off. I'll reserve my opinion though until the Lara vs Canelo fight. If Canelo manages to blast out Lara, I will be highly suspicious that Floyd paid yet another person off. So... In conclusion... The only person I want to see fight Pacquiao is Floyd's ***** ass, so he can take that ass whippin he's been duckin for years, and even paid Pacquiao his own money like a lil *****.
I think this is a good idea, but it won't happen. Because Floyd is a lil *****, payin his so-called best friend and lil brother, "Broner" basically to get his ass beat on tv, which of course people will buy... Because most people can't get enough of Broner getting the **** beat outta him. Without the prospect of Broner getting his ass whipped, I didn't see that card selling much at all. Honestly, in the US, nobody cares about Khan. And nobody in hell wants to see Broner vs a nobody. But the prospect of Broner getting the **** beat outta him, I think people might pay for that. Me... Yeah right, Algieri posses a theat to Pacquiao due to his boxing ability, yet Mayweather is scared of Pac. And Algieri is gonna beat Guerrero and Maidana because of his movement? What does Guerrero do that impresses you? And Maidana had his moments against Khan, but was mostly completely outboxed due to Khan's movement. Khan did take an ass beating in that fight, but Khan's defense was garbage. In contrast, Algeri never stops moving, so yes, Algeri would likely beat Maidana and Guerrero...especially Guerrero.
A few months ago, no one had heard of Algeiri. Now that he may fight pac, he's a dangerous threat. I can only imagine these message boards if Floyd would have announced his next fight to be against Algieri..... Or Rios, or a third,fourth, maybe a fifth fight against Marquez.... I used to be a die hard manny fan, but I can't respect him with the way he has handled his career these past couple of years.
I'm sorry buddy, but I have to disagree big time with you. Algieri is a one dimensional fighter with zero amateur experience and a thin resume. He's not beating all of these guys by simply moving all around the ring and flicking out a jab. Provo literally walked in on straight lines, no head movement, no jab, and was telegraphing his punches. Many people still think he won that fight. If this fight happens, Pacquiao will kick the crap out of Algieri. Pacquiao actually has good boxing skils; better boxing skills than Algieri.
