Those blows were low, those blows, elbows, headbutts have been part of Wards game for years, we have talked about his dirty fighting style for years, as have other forums, podcasts, tv shows, radio shows and alot of Wards previous opposition talked about how dirty he was. The man is dirty and those blows were low.

But i stand by my opinion that those low blows that were low blows didnt hurt Kovalev, he was already hurting from an excellent head shot and was looking for some recovery time. Obvioulsy Mrs Andre Weeks or Mrs Tony Ward or what ever his name is didnt bother doing his job properly and the fight got stopped.

 

The last punch was revealed to be low on a different angle. But the first two punches of that final three punch sequence look legal; so the question becomes: Does Weeks stop the fight just baecause of that final shot, or because Kovalev was getting pasted without interruption in the last 45 seconds and completely lost his shape by that point? I think the latter option is just as plausible, given this and other views of the fight. Kov looked boot-****ed by the finish.

 

I don't think the final shot was of the Gainer-Norwood level of low, but it was clearly below the legal target area. Aside from that, I think this post is pretty spot on in describing what took place.
