those sky blue joints did seem a little thin in the middle....

anyone here ever used 8oz everlast gloves???

I only got Lonsdale gloves that I use and their pretty darn thick in the middle....

I've felt reyes gloves, and they're known as 'punchers' gloves and they're usually quite densely packed too....

like to hear the perspective of someone who's used everlast gloves....

i have an ancient pair of everlasts that i dont use anymore since getting my winnings, they were 12 oz and very well rounded gloves in my opinion. my mate always wanted to use em when sparring but now they are just rotting in the bottom of my bag lol

they wernt the MX style that maidana brought but from what iv experienced and herd everlasts are hardly "punchers gloves" i always thought reyes was the way to go if your after punchers gloves

you see the video of the 'gloves' how'd they look to you....

tbh there's only so much you can tell from looking....

but the commission didn't approve so there must be some legitimacy behind mayweathers claims.

most here wouldn't have worn 8oz Everlast, as those are Pro fight gloves

I worked the pads with 8oz once, not long 10-15 mins, not everlast, not sure about the make, But your fist felt solid and fast, so freaking fast and feels like you can feel your power - and thats just on pads.

Normally use 14oz - but the 8oz felt like they were designed to be fist whilst the 14 feel like you need to make them into a fist, if that makes any sense?

Its good to train with 8 oz to get the real fight, range, speed, timing & especially guys who like to block or jab alot. Unless they plan to fight 154 & up... then no use for 8oz

Some 8oz have a completely diff padding, in Europe they like Adidas...unlike most 8oz you can easily turn them into a fist or hand which is useful for some styles

The Cleto Reyes 8oz is already a clinched fist, most modern 8oz gloves copy the Cleto Reyes, its a true puncher glove...possibly mental more than anything...if your fist is forced into a clinched mold...then you are just going to punch :boxer

Although I used it once, it felt easier to punch with the closed fist ones, Everlast Gloves tend to be more open.

    Did you use Adidas 8oz

I don't know how every boxer feels, Reyes is the obvious favorite in lower weights. Adidas pro 8oz feels more like thinner amateur gloves, the whole punchers glove is mental more than anything, if it has any effect its minimal.

I still support Mr Cleto Reyes, cause he has the coolest story :yep

Not sure the make, they were dark red,. Not adidas though, dont think they had a logo on the actual glove just on the wrist...

Best gloves I probably tried, it just was like my fist covered in just leather, obviously there was padding but felt like i could knock a fool out with couple of punches

Well some gloves are too thin to be accepted by any commission...unless Smoger turn into one in the future...Too thin might just hurt your hand and cause more superficial harm...which could be better than receiving well padded tonnage over 12rds that does more damage to the brain than to the skin
