Parker is one of the best 85-percenters in the sport. I doubt we'll ever see those remaining 15% but if we ever do, it'd be a minor pugilistic miracle. Still though, not sure he needs them to continue having success or snagging a loose title somewhere. I can see him going on quite a while.

Currently two Kiwi sportsmen subject to name suppression orders

One is a rugby league fellow who is in his 30's and recently retired.

The other is a fighter whether boxer or other discipline, idk.

Done? How can he be done? Hes 28 years old soon to be 29.
.. He lost to Whyte and AJ at age 26.

Hes not even In his prime. Honestly, hes lost two fights 2 years ago and has been laid off due to Covid 19 and Junior Fa health Issues and you are all acting like his career his over. Its embarrassing.

No one said a fighter has to be unified heavyweight champion by the age of 30. Some fighters are slow starters and dont burn out quickly.

Have been saying for a long time and now happy people realizing the same...

Parker seems like a nice bloke, but he is happy with the way how things are going for him. Showing a lack of ambition, being inactive and just simply lost his desire. He got bullied by Whyte and looked okay with that..

I think we're being a bit ridiculous here. I really hate how quick people are to write a fighter off.

Imagine if Wladmir listened to idiots like this after his 3 losses? What garbage.

He almost beat Whyte remember. Whyte was basically one hard hit away from being gone.

Give him a chance. He beat Ruiz, and almost beat Whyte.

Wladimir came back because he employed a professional coach and had a professional team around him, with a top level promoter. He made sacrifices and worked his arse off.

All Parker has is a coke head promoter/manager, and a few amateur coaches. He is comfortable to be an also ran with an also ran team.

How is he going to improve and how is he going to get the big fights?

Well, skills and experience level Povetkin does have cannot be developed during just 1-2-3 years regardless from $ and team.

Guys in forums usually are naive and assume amateur carerr is nothing important. Pros? Champs or B level etc beauties.
Povetkin was capable nicley to KO ppl also in amatuers.
He was good KBer and when switched more to amateur boxing becomed european junior champ.
Then he was amateur world champion and next year european champion and Olympic Gold medalist.
Povetkin's level in amateurs was enough high 2 years in row to be best amateur boxer in the world.

Okey, he is small for HW and a bit too large for CW division therefore his career looks not so impressive.
    Now he is 41 y.o .

Povetkin was amateur superstar before turned into a pro. Prime Povetkin had lost only to large Klitschko and bearing in mind difference in their size it was predictable.

Interestingly why these enough large and more suitable dudes didn't rushed to fight with Wladimir and didn't beated him up?
What the stuff is blown up cruiserweight?
For you most likely division name HW/ CW represents even masculinity level too. You think some dude like Octopus is less dangerous for you because he is CW?

In older times HW dudes were smaller! Then Tyson and Ali too were blown up cruiserweights? Liston too etc.

    Too harsh.

Parker fought Joshua, Hughie, Ruiz Jr, Whyte and Takam within 26 months. This is pretty solid and stiff competition in a short time period and you also have to consider that Parker is still very young for a HW. He turns 29 in January so he probably has another 2-3 years until he reaches his peak. It makes no sense to go all out at his age with his recent opponents and hard fights. You'd have destroyed his career if you do not match him carefully after the Whyte fight.

Parker definitely needs to step it up though. He needs some banger performances against good opponents. Junior Fa was a step into the right direction, unfortunately Fa injured himself so fight is off but i hope Parker gets a good replacement in February or March. No D level club fighter like Winters.
