I lean towards Frazier here.

 

Interesting thread. I can see Frazier taking this, he brought relentless pressure and great workrate. Holmes was great skilled HW, but stylewise it's not a bad match for Smokin Joe

 

It would have been a great fight, but I'm edging towards Frazier too. I reckon Holmes would survive the full fight though.

 

prime on prime joe wins a u.d. Frazier probably would have an eye closed let' just hope it' not his only good eye. Holmes is getting knocked down and would probably break his ribs again, it worked for him the first time

Holmes isn't quite the same stylist as Ali; less speed, but probably a bit heavier handed. But yeah, in spite of the fact that Holmes is likely to do some damage to Frazier, I think Joe probably finds a way to track him down and do better work over the long haul to get the clear UD.

 

I'd narrowly favor Joe, it's a good match up for him. With the pride and heart on display it would be one very grueling fight. Neither would be looking very pretty afterward.

 

Not that much; Ali was a faster sharper puncher and tended to punch in longer combinations. Larry had heavier hands, I think and tended to place his shots more rather than overwhelm with streams of combos. Neither guy was feather-fisted; but if Frazier can track Ali successfully, he probably does the same to Larry.
